Conversations with Malik Thomas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Malik Thomas.

Hi Malik, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I remember never being able to afford the clothes I wanted, but always still being into fashion, when I started my brand/media page, it was just a logo and a few shirts printed I remember never really thinking big about it just wanting the closest people to me to be wearing my clothes.

From doing that, I got the idea of supporting others around me by showcasing their talents while wearing my gear.

Opportunities like this are why I’m still going. The best resource we have is each other and that’s something my brand relies on to keep going.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been extremely difficult because you have to thrive in multiple fields, other than just your own to maintain an actual business.

After I was able to successfully have everyone around me consistently wearing my clothes it was time for me to take the next step by officially opening an online store and adding different aspects to my business other than just clothing.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Overall, I’m known for being an artist I mix and master my own songs, create most of my cover art promote and perform as a lifestyle to find that lifestyle.

I offer services through my brand which include photography, videography, studio sessions, sponsorships, promotions, and interviews what sets me apart from others is really living that lifestyle, through thick and thin of being an artist, trying and failing for the love of the game and not just the money.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was very outgoing having a very diverse friend group with knowing so many people I took on new interests at a faster rate than someone who hangs out with people that are just like them I had a lot of friends who were quiet and enjoyed things like drawing, reading, or poetry in my younger days before high school those were the type of activities that I would take part in as I grew up and became more vocal music began to be my main interest.

I remember my older brother used to rap ever since I was little I always admired that it was something I always wanted to try, but knew I couldn’t just pick it up and drop it like most things that I tried as hobbies because I respected it so much.
