Hidden Gems: Meet Alicia Hanson and Theresa Lamb of Dwell & Gather Interior Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Hanson and Theresa Lamb. They and their team shared their story with us below:

We both have a corporate background which allows great synergy in running our little firm! Theresa built her first home in 2005 and was smitten with new home builds and large-scale remodels ever since. While she was taking on numerous remodels across America, her design passion grew taking her back to school for an Interior Design Degree. When she settled in Minnesota, she soon met Alicia through church, who just so happened to be ready to “retire” from corporate America herself!

Alicia has a strong background in sales and project management and had recently built her home in 2020 and felt a gap between having a beautiful home, and a lack of furniture to go into it- which moved her to initiate the concept of Co-Owning an Interior Design firm with Theresa! Soon, we were off to the races in forming what you now see as Dwell & Gather Interior Design.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We are both women of faith and know that “struggles” are just part of the recipe and that even if there’s a spice that might be hard to swallow on its own, once mixed into the recipe it becomes a mouthwatering masterpiece!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a boutique firm that specializes in providing a full-service white glove experience for residential clients who are building new, conducting a remodeling project, or need home furnishings. We adore being of service to our clients and providing a luxury experience filled with ease. From our first phone call to the final pillow fluff, our entire business is built off of creating not only a spectacular design but also a joyful journey each step of the way in the process.

Our business backgrounds allow us to streamline our operations and the deliverables for our clients -creating an experience our clients rave about. We pride ourselves on providing clear and upfront expectations from the onset allowing our clients to sit back, relax and focus on the things that bring them joy.

Giving back to the community has always been a large part of who we are individually, and thus from the beginning has always been a cornerstone of our business as well. One of our core values at D&G is “memory making” and how we can cultivate that in the everyday!

A portion of our profits are given back to organizations and nonprofits that align with this value, as it’s rooted in all we do, and was even a motivator behind our tagline “Design the space where memories are made”.  If you know of an organization aligning with memory making we are always open to hearing about endeavors that could use our help!
