Meet Taionna and Shalaya of The Pretty Palace Salon & Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taionna and Shalaya. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Taionna, Shalaya

The Pretty Palace Salon & Spa was established by owners Taionna and Shalaya. We wanted to create a safe space for women to come and experience luxury services.

We wanted it to be a one-stop shop offering a wide range of services. Some of the services currently offered are hair, nails, and makeup to name a few.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The process has been a long yet rewarding journey.

We have been met with detours and roadblocks however we’ve never let any of those minor issues deter us from reaching our final destination.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Pretty Palace Salon & Spa is a black woman-owned salon. We’re centrally located in Brooklyn Center, MN. We offer services including but not limited to weaves, braids, nails, makeup, etc. We are a salon catered to providing a luxury experience to every individual who visits our salon.

We pride ourselves on being a salon that is full-service and provides quality work. We wanted to bring back that old-school salon vibe by providing hair washing with every service, meeting new people, and offering walk in’s daily.

We’re a family-owned business so creating an environment that is safe and welcoming and close-knit for our technicians as well as our consumers is what we’re most proud of.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
