Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia Agyapong.

Nadia Agyapong

Hi Nadia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I moved to Minnesota 10 years ago for college. I attended Winona State University and Got my Bachelor of Science degree from there in Business Administration. During my time in college, and Winona being a small town, it was hard to find someone to do your hair. (Texture hair) to be precise. But that was not a problem for me since I knew how to do my hair and came prepared with the materials and everything I needed to get myself ready whenever I wanted. But as I made friends their problem for not being able to find a stylist became known to me and I would offer to help and they would offer to pay me or tip me.

So I started getting a lot of calls from friend friends and so soon my weekends or after school became the time to do other’s hair. After graduating from college, I moved to Rochester and decided to get my license so I did and got my braiding license which got me clients at a salon in Rochester where I was working part-time on weekends and after my other corporate job during the week. Soon (2 years) after, I moved to the Twin City and decided to go for my cosmetology license. Which I did all while working my big girl corporate job and taking clients in a salon here as well.

The pandemic happened but through it all, I am convinced that this is my passion and I love getting every single one of my clients the result of whatever the style is that they ask for. I am trying to branch myself more into weddings and events but I am also very happy with my current clientele. I offer all hair (extensions, bridal updo, simple hair care, braiding, color, and cut) services. I also do makeup for weddings and other events. I’ve worked in collaboration with others to get models ready for a runway show. I travel for my services and am open to going around the us and other countries if needed. Like I love to say Nadia’s Touch to the world.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been an interesting ride full of learning curves. First of English is not my first language and I’ve come a long way to be fluent in a new country. But I always say.

People come to your life at the right time to contribute to your growth and if you pay attention and stay humble you will get a chance to learn a thing or two from them to get you to the next step.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Nadia’s Touch LLC?
