Hi Dennis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Bat Free LLC was established in Minnesota on August 10th, 2010. Before that, I bat-proofed for years in West Central Minnesota with a business partner under a different business name, gathering valuable experience while honing our bat-proofing techniques! Life is full of surprises. After a trip to an audiologist, an immediate family member and I are hard of hearing! In the spring of 2014, my family relocated to the Twin City metro area to learn ASL and embrace the deaf community. Our entire family has learned American Sign Language. This “move” has truly been one of the highlights of my life!
Regarding bat proofing, the same hometown pride we brought to our customers out in rural Minnesota, we strive to reach our urban clientele. At Bat Free, we show up when we say, do what we did, and invoice what we quote! We aim to do aesthetically pleasing work. This is carried through not only in the processes we use but is reflected in the materials we use as well! Bat Free LLC is a family-operated and run business. It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The bat-proofing road has only sometimes been smooth or easy. Challenges and struggles are due to inclement weather, equipment breakdowns, and materials and supply shortages. Other challenges involve misinformation regarding bats, bat-proofing, and Federal and State bat protection laws provided by outstate and big box general pest control companies to our potential clients here in Minnesota.
