Today we’d like to introduce you to Louis Hanson.

Hi Louis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in 2001 with the family business at the Duluth Grill. I felt passionate about our neighborhood and needed to expand to give great employees opportunities. I started The OMC on February 15th, 2017.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Nothing is smooth in the restaurant business; the only thing we have going for us to keep pushing forward is that we need to learn better and think it is normal.

As you know, we’re big fans of OMC Smokehouse. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
The OMC is a southern-style restaurant that prides itself on producing fabulous food while uplifting a community.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I liked talking with people and working with food.
