Exploring Life & Business with Pegah Kadkhodaian of Mystical Wisdom Services LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pegah Kadkhodaian.

Pegah Kadkhodaian

Hi Pegah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Thank you. I would be happy too.  I will start with my approach to the work I do. Whether in my capacity as a a speaker, trainer, yoga teacher, or resilience resilience coach, I am deeply committed to guiding my clients towards their inherent gifts and inner wisdom. I believe in the transformative power of resilience, a belief that I have cultivated over the past 25 years. My approach to healing work and coaching is holistic. My goal is to offer clients the opportunity to engage intellectually, spiritually, and physically in their evolution. I blend a variety of techniques and complementary philosophies to inspire a new way of being in the world, helping clients unlock the profoundly resilient nature that is written deep within us all.

My understanding and appreciation of resilience began with the powerful woman who raised me: a mother who left revolution-torn Iran when I was just three to start a new life with two small children and an aunt who endured political imprisonment and unspeakable loss. Witnessing these women’s strength gave me extraordinary examples of our ability to nurture and thrive out of hardship.

My fascination with the human experience led to an early career in the arts. I spent 15 years singing, acting, and dancing across stages in New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis, and California. When I decided to transition to the world of personal, professional, and spiritual development, I continued to explore the multi-dimensional power of our thoughts as a Master Practitioner and Certified Trainer of Neurolinguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Mental and Emotional Release Therapy, with additional certifications in Theta Healing and Huna. Combined with my history as a yoga teacher and my work as a board-certified Integrative Nutrition Coach, my rich curiosity and diverse experience give clients an embodied, fully empowered, and uniquely holistic opportunity to ignite their resilience and transform their lives.

Whether I am engaged in individual coaching, teaching at corporations or universities, or leading wellness retreats,  my commitment to honesty comes with what some might call a gritty, no-nonsense style that I hope resonates with folks worldwide. I hope that my expertise and enthusiasm will inspire people to embrace the challenge: if we are willing to do the work of looking deeply, of living with integrity, of learning to listen intently to our own resilient voice, we will discover that we hold within us a profound and unshakeable power. It is my privilege to help people and organizations find that power and radical resilience, to harness and hone it, and learn how to call it their own.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has been anything but smooth. I certainly don’t say that because I have any feelings of being a victim but rather that my adversities and pain have been transmuted into my purpose. My life has been a rollercoaster with incredible highs, unexpected turns, and the occasional fast plummet. That said, it has always had an element of fun, and there has always been an upswing from those low times. As a first-generation immigrant who was forced to leave a worn-torn country and then move around from age 3 to 6 before landing in the United States, I was exposed to massive transitions and change very early on. Without getting into too many details, I will share that whether it was divorce, the loss of my father back in 2017, or some complex and sometimes heartbreaking relationships with certain teachers and mentors, I have many experiences that have shaped me and given me the wisdom to be able to handle anything that my clients and students bring to me. Our struggles offer us opportunities to reflect inward and heal the parts of ourselves that we may never have taken the time to examine. I have been shaped and prepared by my adversity to do the work I am meant to do in the world.

Thanks for sharing that. Please tell us more about your business.
I am proud to introduce this new business to the world. I spent 15 years cultivating and growing my last business, PKNY Health, and was very proud of all we created and accomplished, but it was time to turn the page and close that chapter. With my move back to the Midwest, it seemed appropriate to create something new. MWS LLC, or Mystical Wisdom Services, is a brand that encompasses all I have to offer the world, whether consulting services to businesses to support leadership training, DEI work or communication training, one-on-one coaching or healing services, or destination retreats and training. My goal in creating this company was to be of service in all the ways that I have been blessed to be able to do. I have spent 30 years learning different modalities to serve businesses and individuals to become who they are meant to be. To operate from a place of expansion, abundance, and love. My goal is that whether it is an organization or an individual I serve, these principles and the transformative power of resilience are the foundation of the work.

I offer training and facilitation for companies committed to thriving work cultures through a greater understanding of their workforce, the power of communication/heart-based leadership, and the creation of an equitable environment for everyone. I also provided individual coaching and healing services in the professional and personal realms. Lastly, and probably the aspect of this business that excites me the most, is our destination retreat-based training and healing experiences. We will be offering one this August in Greece and hope to continue delivering customized experiences throughout the globe.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I have never been afraid to take big swings, risk everything, fall, fail forward, and grow. Without risk, there is minimal reward in life. We must be willing to have faith and lose it all to gain everything. I have taken huge risks when I chose to relocate over the years; I have invested in myself and my business to over $150,000, all of which was a risk. Being authentic and vulnerable in my work is a risk, but I would rather be seen as I am than be safe.
