Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie River
Hi Kylie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From my experience I think self belief is the hardest part but also the most important, you have to believe in yourself even if no one else does. Partially I think the importance comes from how much work it takes and how self disciplined you have to be in order to achieve the goals you have. For me personally it helped to surround myself with the people that were doing the same things I wanted to do. That helped encourage me that it was possible to follow my dreams. Being an Actress is something I’ve always wanted and I finally started to make traction on those dreams when I realized all it took was believing in myself that I could do it, after I crossed over that bridge all the hard work became easier and more obtainable. I have definitely been super fortunate to have amazing people in my life who have supported me through my journey in so many different ways. I found my purpose, I found my path, and I found my people.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think a very taboo topic of struggle in this industry is people trying to put you in a box of what THEY think is best for you. I have ran into scenarios so many times where someone was trying to tell me either what kinda content I should be making, what projects I should be spending my time on, or what my image online should be represented as. Now with the understanding that those are very important things that should be thought about, no one should be telling you what is best for you, because they aren’t you. This industry is never a smooth road, as an Actor you’re your own boss and you have so many struggles you have to overcome because of that factor. But the import thing to me is that I get to do what I love.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a full time Actress known mainly for being in either horror or action movies as well as my large resume of commercial work I’ve done all over the US. I am also an athlete, stunt performer, and singer on the side. Some of my biggest moments are:
-singing live for the first time.
-getting my first big break as a horror actress in a Amazon film.
-competing on ESPN for World Chase Tag (a professional parkour sport).
-traveling all over the world getting to do what I love as both a content creator, and a artist and public figure.
I think the thing that sets me apart from others the most is how hard I am willing to work to achieve my dreams.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I had an amazing support system around me from coaches, mentors, and business support. I am also super blessed to have amazing agents and managers, and amazing friends around me that I consistently lean on for help and we all grow together with the things we do together. It is extremely important to have a good support system around you!
