Hi Tassie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been a Hmong Shaman Master for 15 years; however, for 10 of those years, I ran from my responsibilities. In my younger years, I was heavily influenced, curated, and set in a gilded cage. I could only provide services to those who were deemed worthy of my time, while I wondered why I couldn’t help them as I was instructed to say, “No”. Entering an unknown spiritual world, I was amazed, only to take off the rose colored glasses and tore through the cage and walked away from it all.
In the 10 years I refused to do services for anyone, I watched my family struggle to receive Shaman services. I saw my thousands of viewers who wrote endless messages and emails to me of their plight and spiritual woes. I watched the Shaman world that was so carefully curated when I was a fledgling, fall apart. With it, would be knowledge and power. Like a movie, I watched and waited for the change in the Shaman community- only to realize if I wanted the change, I had to be it.
Opening of Shaman Memoirs meant I would provide Shaman services for the public again. However, the only way I would raise my shrine was if I could do it my way. I believe everyone has a right to spiritual assistance, if needed. Regardless of family politics, religion, race, or distance. I want to help educate the younger generations through my YouTube videos, sessions, and public seminars to understand and see the beauty in their traditions and roots, and how through spiritual growth, you may find yourself. Shaman Memoirs is a guiding light, where spirit guides dance.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Most Shaman’s all face the same daunting task of finding a Shaman Master to study under to rise into becoming their own Master. Traditionally, the logistics of becoming a Shaman is insanely difficult. Even after finding a Shaman Master, their lineage must match your own which is done through a Shaman Lineage Test ritual. Once you have discovered that you match, you may still need another Shaman Master in the future if you struggle greatly on your Shamanic journey. Thankfully, I was blessed and where it takes many years to accomplish this, I would have raised to my Master Shaman level within less than a month. However, the true test for me wasn’t about rising as a Shaman, or understanding your spirit guides, it was people and navigating the modern world we live in and how spirituality can still have a place.

At Shaman Memoirs, we aim to be a guiding light where Spirit Guides dance. I started Shaman Memoirs on YouTube, telling ghost stories. From there, I branched off to let my viewers know about my Hmong Shaman journey and quickly realized the massive disconnect there was between people and their spiritual path. Our mission is to help the younger generations overcome and appreciate the spiritual traditions that have shaped the Hmong community. Shaman Memoirs offers General Shaman Readings with spirits to look into questions, Shaman Lineage Tests for rising Shamans, and Hmong Shamanic practices to heal and clear blockages and dark entity attachments.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is having clarity, peace and happiness. Contrary to popular belief, it’s not riches and fame. At the end of your 120 years of life, will you look back and have regrets, or go peacefully knowing you were happy and helped shaped the world in a small way.
