Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamel Harris
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I actually started on the production side of the first and thr made my onto being in front of the camera from so many people around me, encouraging me to challenge myself further.
After a year or 2 of getting consistent support from coworkers and friends, I had decided to move forward into modeling first. I stayed consistent with applying to audition for fashion shows which lead into my acting career. As a male model, it is not as easy to book work as it would be for female models due to the not so High demand for male models. It has always been a world for women. I stayed persistent in getting exposure while networking for some years until one day doors of opportunities started opening all around me constantly!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t consider things as a struggle to get to where I am today. I see them more as challenges to help me gain more experience and a better listener and problem solver that has carried me well through my life journey so far. That includes all types of relationships, work environments while taking care of my responsibilities as an adult first. Yes, I started modeling at the age of 24 and have been in the industry for over 20 plus years. There is still so many more doors of opportunities that continue to open as I continue to grow maturely into my passions as an actor and model, hoping to continously inspire the world!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a person of many talents that can also adapt to evolve as the world acting and modeling evolves. Besides working in front of the camera, I can also have skills to perform maintenance repairs on cars and trucks, home improvement, landscaping, video and sound,
moving families from house to house and more!
I am most proud of how I can learn quickly to attain skills to help others and further my success!
What really sets me apart to me is that I am very versatile while staying humble with gratitude. Also being able to give back by sharing my experiences in hopes that my influences helps with advice and inspires others to keep going, keep moving forward towards their heart goals.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My childhood memories are unforgettable ones and I really cannot favor just one as each memory helped me become who I am today, then tomorrow while evolving for the future!
