Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Everness
Hi Denise, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I earned a BA from The University of St. Thomas which took me on my business journey (from Manager to Director then to Business Partner and Owner), however, something was always encouraging me to wander further down the path of consciousness, and it is here that I stumbled upon my healing and intuitive gifts.
My fascination with energy healing began as a simple curiosity. I soon became attuned to Reiki and then realized that I had many additional intuitive gifts that allowed me to provide clients more information from the universe during each session. This information comes to me in the form of symbols, colors, spirit guides, angels, goddesses, ascended masters, ancestors, past life or akashic record information and animal spirit guides, all assisting the client to connect more deeply to themselves and the universe during session time. I have now been been guiding my clients through healing experiences for over 20 years.
Additionally I work as an Animal Communicator. I am able to connect with animal spirits, living or in spirit to provide comfort, healing, communication for pets and their owners and really all animals world wide. It is a sacred shamanic gift of healing and awareness.
Most recently my gift of being an intuitive Reiki Healer and Animal Communicator has brought my work to another level in assisting client healing sessions with Equine Therapists (aka Horses). I am able to do this work collaboratively with Serenity Farm and Stables in Watertown, MN. We work as a team or herd and it truly is magical.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Diving into this type of business was never anything I ever imagined I would be doing, especially with my educational background. I went the business corporate route and was successful there, but once these gifts opened up, it just could not be shut back down. People just kept calling me, asking for my help and healing and so I made the difficult decision to just trust that this was the direction I needed to follow. I have to say that the Universe has not let me down and has continued to provide.
We’ve been impressed with Great Tree Healing, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Great Tree Healing is my business name and I stepped into this full time in 2019, although I have been practicing since 2006. I am a Usui Certified Reiki Master Practitioner. Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing arts modality. It is a map into the Universe that allows one to be able to connect with higher vibrational frequencies of healing.
It heals in four ways, simultaneously. Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual. Mind, Body and Spirit. It is NOT a belief system and therefore it is not a religion and does not cross any boundaries or personal beliefs. I am not interested in making anyone believe anything. No thank you, not my job.
We are each as unique as our finger prints in that arena as we also are in our physical mental and emotional bodies as well.
What sets me apart from many other Reiki Practitioners is my beautiful intuitive gifts. I am able to provide deeper insights during my sessions. They can come in the form of colors, spirit animals, angels, ancestors, potential past life experiences, etc. We are a blend of physical and spiritual and so many different insights came come in. All deeply meaningful to the person receiving the healing. I can be a guide as to the meanings, but I never want the job of interpreting someone else’s energetic story.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
This industry is growing all the time. As younger generations are more open to new ideas, concepts and ways of being, the old stereo types of being a “Healer” are dropping away.
This I find extremely refreshing. This means more radical acceptance by the larger world of energy and metaphysics. There is still so much to discover, but I truly love that science is now starting to capture things like “Cell Trauma” and how it moves through physical DNA as more factual, rather some saying that is “non sense” and too “woo-woo”. That is a win-win for sure.
We still have so much more to learn and discover about energy, and that is truly exciting! An open mind and heart are the best ways to be.
