Today we’d like to introduce you to Yolonda Mckenzie
Yolonda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my first business in December of 2020 my nonprofit “Lady Zinnia’s Inc” My nonprofit is geared towards single women with children and teen girls. I then started my podcast “Sip N Talk W Mslonda” where I do interviews to promote people businesses and talent I also have discussions on real-life topics and current events. I started my clothing brand “Clatchet” (Classy Rtachet) a woman’s clothing brand and in 2023 I started my online international TV network “Queen’s Talk TV” a network designed to benefit the community giving people the chance to bring awareness and exposure to their talent, skills or businesses “Queen’s Talk TV” streams through Roku, Amazon Fire, Google Play Store, Apple Store and the website @ queenstalkstv.org. I have created the three businesses with the hopes of earning revenue to benefit the nonprofit.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So while I have a passion and love what I do it is very challenging in various ways.
– qualifying for funding
– feeling criminalized in my business
– growing a team interested in working as a collective
– being charged very high prices for information
– being respected in my position

I specialize in media, podcasting, and nonprofits I have a program that I have written up for teen girls called T.A.F.S. ( Teens Aiming For Success) within the nonprofit
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
That no matter how many turndowns, doors shut in my face, or struggles I face I keep going because I like to think that the right door is waiting and will open
