Check Out Lizzy Anderson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizzy Anderson

Hi Lizzy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2015, I was struggling with depression and my mom bought me my first camera. I didn’t really start getting into photography until 2016. My mom started bringing me and a friend to parks to help with my depression. My mom encouraged me to bring my camera and start taking pictures. I started to fall in love with photography and being outdoors. Every weekend, we would go out to take pictures at parks around Minnesota and western Wisconsin. In 2020, my mom thought it would be a good idea to start vlogging our adventures. The vlogs slowly turned into location-specific videos that talk about the history of the park while showing viewers how beautiful these places are.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was a relatively smooth road until 2022. In 2022, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It was really difficult to go from recording every weekend to being bedridden for months at a time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a nature photographer and a content creator on YouTube. I’m most proud that I’m able to show off Minnesota in a way that has rarely been done. I love my state and I’m passionate about sharing just how beautiful it is and what Minnesota has to offer.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I would have to say passion. If I weren’t passionate about my work, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
