Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Emspired to Decorate started when a dream became reality. After working for a staging and decorating company, I found myself rethinking my path when the pandemic hit. That’s when my daughter, Emery, encouraged me to go for it and start my own interior decorating business. Inspired by Emery, I launched Emspired to Decorate in 2020, and it’s been an exciting journey ever since!
Today, I help clients transform their spaces on a budget. I provide interior decorating services that fit my clients’ budgets, their styles, and their stories. My goal is to ensure every client feels proud of their space and that their house truly feels like home. Home is your happy place—it’s where memories are made, families grow, and everyday life happens.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Owning Emspired to Decorate has been a fulfilling journey, but it does come with challenges. One of the biggest hurdles has been navigating the unpredictable nature of entrepreneurship. Unlike a traditional job with a steady paycheck, I have times where income fluctuates, making financial planning very important.
As a woman entrepreneur, I also juggle the demands of running a business with being a mom. Finding that balance can be tough. Some days I am balancing client projects, working on administrative tasks and managing marketing content. On other days, I am running my kids to their activities or volunteering for a field trip. It requires a lot of flexibility and support to manage both roles.
Despite these challenges, my passion for interior decorating and helping people keeps me motivated. Every time I am able to help a client transform their space into something they love, it reminds me of why I started this journey. Building a business is never easy, but the rewards make it all worthwhile.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending the holidays with my family. Even when I came home on winter break from college, I remember how magical Christmas felt, thanks to the decorations we put up. The twinkling lights, festive ornaments, and cozy decor created an atmosphere of warmth and joy.
This love for holiday decorating has really shaped my journey as a decorator. I want to help others create spaces that bring back those feelings of comfort and celebration. For me, decorating isn’t just about making things look beautiful; it’s about creating homes where families can come together and make lasting memories.
