Today we’d like to introduce you to Catalyst Insight Collective
Catalyst Insight Collective , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Catalyst Insight Collective (CIC) was co-created by three therapists, who were passionate about curating a therapeutic space that expanded beyond the status quo of psychotherapy. Eric Peterson, Stephanie Dreis, and Shireen June started CIC with the hope of holding Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) space in an accessible, safe, and healing way while integrating our other therapeutic healing modalities. We eventually were able to find a part-time medical provider during his transition into retirement, which allowed us the opportunity to start up our KAP practice. In less than a. year, we were introduced to Shawn Olson, an integrative medicine doctor, who brought our practice full circle and helped us welcome in our first practicum student-now clinician working towards licensure, Bryan Ebert, and our first contractor Mariya Javed-Payne. We continue to find excitement in the work we do and find endless joy in the evolution CIC is experiencing.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Although the road has not been filled with potholes and treacherous curves, we have experienced some bumps in the road. Starting a therapy practice is not as simple as it seems, especially when we add ketamine into the mix. Thankfully, most of the challenges have been logistical (credentialing, setting up an electronic health records system, rental space, etc.) rather than interpersonal. A value of CIC is standing in our integrity, which includes transparency in our relationships with one another and holding each other in empathetic accountability, minimize the interpersonal difficulties that can arise in group spaces.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Catalyst Insight Collective ?
Catalyst Insight Collective is a Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy clinic offering integrative modalities to meet individual’s needs. This includes Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, Individual Therapy, Integration Therapy, and Trainings.
The providers at CIC are committed to providing folks with exceptional care in a compassionate and friendly atmosphere. We use an integrative approach to help individuals connect with their innate healing wisdom so they can unearth the healing element within themselves. We collaborate with those we work with to create a treatment plan that feels aligned with their own needs and wants.
Our team of therapists are trained in many areas including somatic techniques, mindfulness based interventions, behavioral modalities, acceptance & commitment therapy, parts work, psychoanalysis, artistic expression, intentional movement, and a variety of eastern modalities.
In 2024, we launched an in-person Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy training for a variety of clinicians, providers, and healing space holders. This training was specifically designed to give trainees a space where they learn the foundations of KAP, as well as things we wish we would have learned in the trainings we attended. It is truly something we are all very proud of.
CIC is a space we, as individuals, would want to heal and be in ourselves, which is something we are all proud of. We also find joy in the fact we continue to learn and grow as clinicians, individuals, and a team.
