Today we’d like to introduce you to Brody Tschida
Hi Brody, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Brody Tschida, I’m a 17 year old entrepreneur from Apple valley MN, I started my clothing brand in April of 2024 when I was just 16 to motivate individuals to follow their dreams no matter their circumstances or what they think they can or cannot do, I want to show everyone that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I’m fully self taught in anything that I do rather that’s designing or marketing or even networking and communicating, over these last 9 months I’ve worked hard everyday to make my dreams of being an entrepreneur come true, I’ve been featured on the star tribune, limitless media, and I was a guest on the ABC’s Minnesota live morning news show. My brand is more then just a clothing brand, it’s a mission, a mission to motivate others like me to start now and achieve their dreams!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are a lot of struggles being a young entrepreneur, from being underestimated because of my age, to financial obstacles. There are many obstacles I’ve had to push past throughout my journey of entrepreneurship. I once had my manufacture, mess up some chains that I was planning on releasing, I had to file a charge back through my bank, and I’m still in the process getting my money back and fulfilling the process. I’ve had a few times where my shipping times were pushed out farther than expected, I’ve also had times where I plan to release a drop in a certain month or on a certain day and because of financial trouble, I had to push it back. I’ve had many obstacles i’ve had to get over, but every single obstacle has taught me how to be a better entrepreneur and has made me stronger and my business stronger.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My brand “Urban Elite” makes luxury feeling clothing with a message, all of my clothing pieces are made with care and luxury materials. I specialize in making streetwear and minimalistic clothing that’s comfy and versatile. All of my clothing pieces have different messages and motivation on them, from motivational quotes, to small motivational innuendos. Because I want my clothing brand to be more than just a clothing brand but a mission. I wanted to stand out from other clothing brands and make something that has a positive change to the world and to the future of our youth.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was born on December 11th of 2007, I was always a positive goofy kid, I always had an interest in entertaining people and making people laugh. Growing up, I loved movies, and I also loved making YouTube videos. My love for filmmaking and making YouTube videos is partly the reason I love making marketing videos and other things like that. I’ve always loved to make people laugh and make people’s days better, so to make clothing that makes people smile as well as helps them stay comfortable and helps them stay motivated has been the best thing I’ve ever done!
