Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Jay
Hi Jamie , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off practicing makeup for 15 years from 12 and eventually started taking clients alittle after my son was born in to 2020. Then dolledbyjamiejayllc came about and as me doing something I love and putting it in my brain that Im impacting myself by following one of my dreams and which transcended into be impacting so many with my art.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been pretty nice I think what a lot of people don’t speak on while it is beautiful that I have confidence what I do, as a artist you still deal with anxiety and imposter syndrome at times. You as knowing you are great you push yourself and others to know that they are great and to not let anything get in the way of the authenticity journey of following you goal and dream.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I started off with makeup and I’ve always been a creative director. Photography, modeling, vocalist, and fashionista. What sets me apart is my true authenticity to and bring true to myself unapologetically.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
That I love staying to myself even more and focusing on my needs.
