Hi Julia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a young mother, I was determined to balance my family life with my passion for business. But when I found myself struggling to juggle full-time business school with raising my children, I knew something had to change.
That’s when I discovered the world of advanced skin care. A friend was training to become a laser technician, and I was fascinated by the cutting-edge technology and techniques she was learning. I realized that this was the career path I was meant to pursue.
With newfound determination, I enrolled in PCI Academy to become an Advanced Esthetician. I then took advanced med spa courses with Luxury Laser, where I honed my skills in treatments like laser hair removal.
But my journey wasn’t without its challenges. Despite my training and enthusiasm, I faced rejection after rejection when applying for med spa jobs. I was determined to succeed, but it seemed like the universe had other plans.
Undeterred, I took a job at a spa that wasn’t my dream destination, but it allowed me to gain valuable experience and knowledge. And then, the unexpected happened – a med spa job opening appeared, and I was finally offered the position.
For years, I worked tirelessly to build my skills and reputation in the med spa industry. But as time went on, I began to feel burnt out and unfulfilled. That’s when a friend and mentor suggested I take the leap and open my own business.
At first, I thought she was crazy, but the seed had been planted. I started exploring the possibility of renting a room and launching my own med spa. And to my surprise, everything started falling into place.
Today, I’m proud to be the owner of JCloud Aesthetics, where I get to help clients achieve their skin goals and live their best lives. It’s been a winding road, but I’m grateful for every twist and turn that brought me to where I am today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has been far from smooth sailing. In fact, it’s been a rollercoaster of challenges that tested my resolve. During aesthetics school, I faced one of the toughest experiences of my life – my father’s battle with cancer. Living hours away, I felt helpless as I balanced my studies with the emotional weight of his illness. His passing, just shy of my graduation, left an indelible mark on my life.
But that was only the beginning. During med spa training, disaster struck when an accident left my skin severely damaged, threatening to derail my career before it even started. I was consumed by devastation, wondering if all my hard work had been for nothing.
Yet, in the face of adversity, I found a reservoir of strength and determination. These trials, though brutal, taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of living in the present.

My journey to developing these qualities began at a young age, when I started working in the service industry. I learned the importance of effective communication, empathy, and respect – essential skills for building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
