I’ve always had a passion for skincare and self-care. I can still remember being a kid, going to the library, and picking out DIY skincare books. There was this excitement in my stomach every time I found a new recipe—I couldn’t wait to get home and create something that felt amazing on my skin. It was more than just a fun hobby; it was my first glimpse into the world of beauty and wellness.
At 18, I started working in the finance industry and spent about eight years there. While corporate America wasn’t always easy, I discovered something I truly loved—educating people and providing top-tier customer service. That passion for teaching and helping others eventually led me to my ultimate career as an esthetician and small business owner.
Starting over from scratch wasn’t easy, but I took the leap and went to beauty school. While training, I found another passion—lash artistry. Since then, I’ve proudly been in the beauty industry for almost four years, specializing in facials and lash extensions. Being an esthetician allows me to blend everything I love—education, wellness, and customer care—into one career. Now, I get to provide educational beauty treatments, create the best experience for my clients, and truly live my dream.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape me into the business owner and esthetician I am today. I spent about eight years in corporate finance, and that world wasn’t easy for me. However, during that time, I discovered my passion for teaching and customer service, which ultimately led me to a completely different path—esthetician work.
Starting over from scratch was a huge leap of faith, and doing it during the height of COVID made it even more challenging. Financially, it was tough, and I had to navigate an entirely new industry while dealing with the uncertainty of the world around me. But despite the struggles, I don’t regret my decision for a second. I absolutely love what I do, and being able to help people feel confident in their skin is incredibly rewarding. The journey wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

I specialize in creating healthy and relaxing beauty experiences, with a strong focus on healing and educating my community through skincare and lash services. My expertise lies in providing treatments for all skin tones and types, with a particular emphasis on skin of color. Whether it’s your first facial or your first set of lashes, my goal is to ensure that you leave feeling relaxed, informed, and pampered.
What sets me apart is my dedication to inclusivity and education. I create a welcoming space where everyone, regardless of their skin tone, type, or lash curl and eye shape, can receive safe and effective beauty treatments. Beyond providing services, I educate my lash clients on proper application, product choices, and how to maintain healthy, natural lashes.
I think what I’m most proud of is being a Black woman-owned business that actively contributes to the well-being of my community. Uplifting others and making people feel confident in their own skin is what truly fulfills me in this industry. I pride myself on creating a comfortable, safe, and relaxing experience where everyone—regardless of background—feels pampered, healthy, and beautiful.
For me, it’s more than just beauty treatments; it’s about connection. I believe in providing personalized, meaningful conversations and ensuring that every client feels heard and valued. If I don’t have an answer to a question, I’ll find it—because my goal is always to offer the best care and knowledge possible.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
COVID was an eye-opening experience in so many ways. It really highlighted the importance of health—both physical and mental. I’ve come to understand that beauty services aren’t just about appearance; they play a vital role in overall well-being. Taking care of yourself, whether through skincare, lash services, or simply setting time aside for self-care, is an essential part of maintaining balance.
The pandemic reinforced that self-care is truly a form of wealth. When you prioritize yourself—your health, your peace, and your confidence—you show up better in every area of your life. That’s why I’m even more committed to providing beauty experiences that heal, relax, and uplift my clients.
