Meet Natnaree Ezekisoe of Saint Paul, Mn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natnaree Ezekisoe

Hi Natnaree, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to the U.S. from Thailand in 2023, and one of the things I missed the most was the flavors of home—especially Thai desserts. That’s what inspired me to create Thai-inspired donut flavors.

I started with a coconut and palm seed donut, a combination that holds a lot of nostalgia for me. In Thailand, I loved drinking fresh coconut water, and one of my favorite treats was coconut ice cream topped with palm seeds. So, I took those flavors and transformed them into my very first donut.

Moving here, I didn’t have family or close friends—just my husband as my only support system. But ever since I started sharing my donuts on social media, people have shown up to support in ways I never expected. The love and encouragement from the community have been incredible. I’m so grateful for every business owner who has helped Fluffy Bakery, and for everyone who has spread the word or come to a pop-up. It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m excited to keep growing and sharing more flavors from my roots.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely. I’ve questioned myself many times—wondering if I made the right decision moving here and starting this business. It hasn’t been easy, and I’ve learned that you can’t do it all alone. You really need support to keep things flowing.

In the beginning, we made mistakes, especially with orders, because we were so new to everything. But at the end of the day, all you can do is move forward and find solutions. Problems come and go every day, and I’ve learned that what matters most is how you handle them. Each challenge has been a lesson, and I just keep pushing through.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
For me, making donuts isn’t just about baking—it’s a creative process. I put a lot of thought, artistry, and storytelling into every flavor. I love experimenting with unique pairings, drawing inspiration from Thai flavors and desserts, and figuring out how to present them in a way that’s both beautiful and delicious.

What excites me the most is the process—coming up with new flavors, thinking about how to balance different ingredients, and deciding how to decorate each donut. It’s fun, and it allows me to express my creativity in a way that brings joy to others.

What sets Fluffy Bakery apart is that every donut is made with intention. It’s not just about making something sweet; it’s about creating an experience—whether that’s introducing someone to a nostalgic Thai flavor or surprising them with a unique twist they’ve never had before. That’s what I’m most proud of, and it’s what keeps me inspired to keep going.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I’m still searching for that answer. Back in Thailand, I was a content creator and made passive income online, which gave me the freedom to work from anywhere and travel as much as I wanted. But life changed when I moved here—I left everything behind and had to start over from scratch.

Right now, I think success for me would be seeing Fluffy Bakery grow into something bigger—having my own shop, maybe even in different cities across Minnesota in the future. I don’t know how long it will take, but I believe those days are coming. Until then, I’ll keep working toward it, step by step.
