Hi Devin , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started to make music when I was young , I always loved hearing good music especially the beat , music keeps me out of trouble, music keeps me on tasks , I’m 19 Turing 20 April 7th an my experience on earth has been up an downs but the 1 thing to keep all the pieces together was music, My dad an mom aren’t around , I Ben homeless for 3 years. Trying to blow up making music while working a job . I didn’t finish high school but I attended school to finish , I had a lot of things getting in the way of graduating. I sat in jail for a couple of days to think about my life and what I wanted to do . Minnesota is a love and hate state and you gotta work your hardest to make it out of here. I had sleepless nights writing lyrics in my phone to rapping them in my head then uploading a beat to BandLab a recording till the sun came up . I lost a close friend last year to gun violence an it’s Been a weight on my shoulders to move. I pray everyday I can turn my dreams into reality, I do this for him a the ones who gave up .
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Losing friends , not having anyone around to vent to , felt like I was the only person alive . With my mother not around life has been hurting . Without my dad I had to be a man when everything went left . Jail , sleeping in my car , applying for jobs a not getting hired . It seems all depressing but I still keep a smile on my face an my head high to overcome all Sadness an hopeless
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Music my lyrics are relatable and have meaning behind them . I watched everyone take a path to success and took my own route. I have a couple songs that are treading around the city .
