Check Out Andrew Zuis’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Zuis

Andrew, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Reflecting on the past decade as Storytime Santa fills my heart with immense joy and gratitude. It all began ten years ago when a dear friend, who owned a photography business, asked if I could step into the role of Santa Claus for a holiday photo session. Little did I know that this simple favor would ignite a passion that has become an integral part of my life.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of visiting countless homes, private gatherings, and corporate events, sharing the magic of Christmas with children and adults alike. One of my cherished traditions during these visits is reading “The Night Before Christmas.” Witnessing the wonder in children’s eyes and the nostalgic smiles of adults as they listen to this timeless tale is truly enchanting.

Celebrating this 10-year milestone, I am reminded of the countless memories and the joy that Storytime Santa has brought into my life and the lives of others. Each story read, each laugh shared, and each moment of holiday magic reinforces my commitment to spreading cheer and keeping the spirit of Christmas alive.

As I look to the future, I eagerly anticipate many more years of storytelling, laughter, and festive joy. The journey of Storytime Santa has been a heartwarming adventure, and I am profoundly grateful to all who have welcomed me into their celebrations and allowed me to be a part of their holiday traditions.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Embarking on the journey as Storytime Santa has been both rewarding and fraught with challenges. Initially, I stepped into the role to assist a friend’s photography business, but as I began receiving requests from other clients, it led to a strain in our friendship. Navigating this personal conflict was difficult, yet it underscored the importance of clear communication and setting boundaries when blending personal relationships with business ventures.

Building the Storytime Santa business from the ground up required significant effort. Establishing a client base, marketing my services, and ensuring each performance met high standards demanded dedication and resilience. The seasonal nature of this work introduced complexities in scheduling; balancing multiple bookings during the festive period necessitated meticulous planning to honor commitments to both returning and new clients. Implementing effective scheduling systems became crucial to manage the increased demand during peak seasons.

Despite these obstacles, the joy of bringing holiday cheer and creating lasting memories has made the journey profoundly fulfilling. Each challenge encountered has been a lesson, contributing to the growth and success of Storytime Santa over the past decade.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
