Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Ahlbrecht
Hi Chris, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born into a blue collar family where my dad started and operated his own masonry company and from as long as I can remember I was either at work helping him or helping my grandpa at his farm. In both professions I learned at young age that hard work and determination comes with a great sense of pride and satisfaction. I also learned that honesty and respecting people is the foundation to long lasting relationships and a hand shake and your word is something that should never be taken lightly.
Throughout middle school and high school I worked every chance that I could in the construction trades. I loved building things, being outdoors, and working with my hands. By the time I was in high school I had my own company doing repairs, landscaping, snow removal, and handy man services. Even before I could drive I either had to commute with my bike or have my mom drive me around. My Junior and Senior year of High School I took an off campus trades class and it became clear that construction was the path that I wanted to pursue. After High School I went to Hennepin Technical College for a degree in Construction and Construction Management. I built my first house in 2001 when I was 20 years old. Since then I have been building houses, buildings, and light commercial work and have forged our company around a very simple model. Be up front and honest and strive to do the best work you can and you will never have to rely on advertisements.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting your own company from the ground up can come with its challenges. When people are spending the kind of money it takes to build a new house or come into their existing home to do construction they want to be sure they can trust the person in charge. It takes along time to earn peoples trust and get an established name. It takes years to build that foundation but treating people right and attention to all the details is how we rise above those challenges.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
A lot of my childhood memories revolve around being in the outdoors. Whether it was working with my dad and learning the trades or growing up at my grandpas farm and learning about animals and crops. Hunting and fishing trips also are at the top of my list that I got to share with my dad and grandpa.
