Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacque Schauls
Hi Jacque , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Thank you so much for including me! The story starts with my grandmother Marge Devlin who sold cosmetics and did makeup for the Miss Minnesota teen pageant and at 12 I assisted her then started doing hair for the girls as well as makeup and selling cosmetics, cutting coloring and perming my own hair, then friends and relatives.
Sometimes this was done from the beach The St Croix Yacht club catfish beach.
At the time, I also was babysitting and had a paper route. My grandmother on my father’s side Geraldine Greene was a pilot and had her own plane. My mother Patricia Greene owned her own business and my sister Jennifer was a welder in the Navy so I was always around strong women.
At 16 was meeting local celebrities at Norma Jeans, First Avenue and other local hotspots.
In the summer, we lived on a boat on the St Croix river. (I was 11 when I got my boat license and first boat) Loved to race boats and cars.
When I was a sophomore at Durham Hall, the first computer became available ( 1 computer for the entire school) I loved it and spent all of my free time teaching myself how to use it and code.
During highschool my friend Dana and I worked at COMB company and Eden Prairie Movie theater wayyyy too many stories there about Prince, his band and local celebrities. It was so exciting and fun and of course we were all obsessed with Prince and he was hilarious, sweet and strange in a wonderful way.
At 18, I graduated highschool from Eden Prairie then attended HORST cosmetology school in Minneapolis. At that time The Jheri curl was really popular so I was doing a LOT of those on Minnesota band members also color, cuts and styles for photo shoots, concerts and music videos.
From that people would hire me as a personal assistant or street team work, bringing music to the record stores….
When Myspace first came out, I learned how to use it to market music, events, my hair services, then Facebook (I was kicked off of it three times by Mark Zuckerberg for marketing music.) He did not want his platform used for that purpose at the time.
Being on-line and the ability to meet people all over the world, a lil bit obsessive/compulsive is how I’ve been able to create a network of music and entertainment professionals worldwide over 500,000 people all categorized by country by City by state by profession. When cell phones first came out, in the notes section, I would put the details about that specific person. In 2009, I started working with a very powerful man in the music industry Kermit Henderson which further built our network and email marketing.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing for women is a smooth road and especially within the music industry.
I’d rather not dwell on the bad stuff but it definitely is the reason I go out of my way to support other women and their businesses.

Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Social (building fan base and teaching clients how to use each social media site effectively for their specific business)

Getting information and music seen and heard by millions worldwide.
What are you most proud of? My children. I have four wonderful boys.
What sets you apart from others?
My ability to see and hear what needs to be done, quickly come up with a plan and execute it in the most cost effective and efficient way.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Traveling to exotic locations with my family and meeting so many interesting people.
