Hi Kayla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into massage therapy began at PCI Academy in Plymouth, Minnesota, where I graduated in 2018. Right after, I stepped into the field by working for a chiropractor in Ramsey, Minnesota. For nearly four years, I gained invaluable experience, refining my skills and deepening my passion for helping people feel their best.
In 2021, I took a leap and started my own business, Muscle Revive LLC. At first, I worked out of my father-in-law’s basement—where my husband and I were living at the time. It was a small space, but it allowed me to build my client base and shape the vision for my practice.
Fast forward to February 2024, my husband and I purchased our first home in Big Lake, Minnesota. With this move, I was able to relocate and expand my business, creating a space that truly reflects my dedication to massage therapy.
Today, I continue to grow Muscle Revive LLC, and I couldn’t be more grateful for my incredible clients who have supported me along the way. Helping people feel better through massage therapy is my passion, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building my own brand and gaining clientele was not easy—it took patience, persistence, and a deep belief in my passion for massage therapy. When I first started Muscle Revive LLC, I had to work hard to get my name out there, relying on word-of-mouth, social media, and networking to bring in clients. There were moments of doubt, times when the bookings were slow, and the challenge of balancing the business side with my hands-on work. But I stayed committed, focusing on providing quality care and building strong relationships with each client. Over time, my reputation grew, and so did my client base. Now, looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for every person who has trusted me on their wellness journey.
We’ve been impressed with Muscle Revive LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Muscle Revive LLC is built on a passion for helping people feel their best through the power of therapeutic massage. I specialize in customized massage therapy that focuses on relieving tension, reducing pain, and improving mobility. Whether clients are dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to relax and recharge, I tailor each session to their specific needs.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk-taking is an essential part of growth, especially when building something from the ground up. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a natural risk-taker, but I’ve learned that sometimes, stepping outside of my comfort zone is necessary to achieve my goals. One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was leaving the security of working for a chiropractor to start my own business. At the time, I didn’t know if I would have enough clients to sustain myself, but I believed in my skills and my passion for helping people.
Starting Muscle Revive LLC in 2021 was a leap of faith. Working out of my father-in-law’s basement wasn’t ideal, but it was a stepping stone that allowed me to build my brand without overwhelming overhead costs. Another major risk was when my husband and I purchased our first home in 2024, and I moved my business into our new space in Big Lake. Investing in my own setup meant trusting that my clients would follow me and that new opportunities would come.
I’ve learned that risk doesn’t always mean recklessness—it means believing in yourself, making calculated decisions, and pushing through uncertainty. Every challenge I’ve faced has helped me grow as both a business owner and a person. I now see risk as an opportunity rather than something to fear. If I hadn’t taken those chances, I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I’m grateful for every step of the journey.
