Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayme Johnson.
Hi Jayme, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Living with PCOS shifted everything for me. I had to become more intentional about what I consumed, and one of the biggest changes was cutting out alcohol. That lifestyle shift opened my eyes to how limited the options were for people who still wanted to enjoy the vibe of a celebration without drinking.
That’s what led me to create Vibez Mocktails. It started small—just mixing fun, flavorful mocktails for friends and events. But the response was overwhelming. People wanted something different, something that felt good, tasted amazing, and didn’t make them feel left out. I knew I was onto something.
Today, Vibez Mocktails is a full brand built around community, wellness, and celebration. Every mocktail is crafted with purpose, often inspired by my Liberian roots, and designed to bring people together. Whether it’s a curated menu for a private event or a themed setup for a larger gathering, my goal is always to create an experience that’s inclusive, refreshing, and full of vibe.
This brand is personal to me. It’s not just about drinks—it’s about showing people they can prioritize their health and still be the life of the party.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. In the beginning, there was a lot of trial and error—figuring out the right packaging, finding reliable vendors, and building a brand that people could connect with.
One of the biggest hurdles was getting people to take mocktails seriously. In a world where alcohol is the standard, introducing a non-alcoholic option that still brought flavor, fun, and experience took a lot of explaining and proving. I had to consistently show that Vibez wasn’t just a drink—it was a vibe, a full experience.
There were financial challenges, moments of doubt, and times I had to do it all on my own. But those struggles taught me resilience, patience, and how to pivot when things didn’t go as planned. Every challenge has shaped the brand into what it is today, and I wouldn’t trade the process for anything.
As you know, we’re big fans of Vibez Mocktails. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
