Exploring Life & Business with Lindsey Soderberg of With Luv, By Lindsey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Soderberg.

Hi Lindsey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
“You’re most powerfully positioned to serve the person you once were.”

I heard this quote from Rory Vaden on The Amy Porterfield Show podcast, and it stopped me in my tracks—because it put language to what I had been feeling for years.

When I think back to my younger self as a dancer, I picture a girl standing in the back of a formation, unsure of what she added to the team… but dancing with so much love and passion it practically spilled out of her. When I reflect on the many different aspects of my dance career – from growing up as a studio dancer, to a member and captain of a competitive MN High School Dance Team, to getting cut in college and spending five years away from dance, becoming a coaching, and becoming an NFL cheerleader – I see accomplishments that I am proud of.

But I also can’t help but wonder… If circumstances had been different, could I have done more? Seen more success? For many, dance is a short career: more of a childhood passion or pass time than a lifelong activity. As they age, they may coach or teach to stay involved, but how many dancers waste their few short years as a dancer insecure in their dance ability or burnt out by a bad team environment?

That question led to the conception of With Luv: a Mindset Coaching company dedicated to helping dancers maximize their dance career by discovering who they really are and learning how to effectively share that with the team and the world.

Within its first year of service, With Luv has worked with over 200 MN dancers, teaching them how to LUV who they are as a dancer and person, empowering them to crush through personal goals and reach new heights.

And this is only the beginning. With Luv believes in a world where all dancers enjoy every moment of their journey—grounded in self-trust, fueled by confidence, and free to reach their full potential.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been challenging—but not in the ways I expected at all.

I’ve never had a problem rolling up my sleeves and working hard, so when I left my corporate IT career to pursue my dream of serving dancers, I was fully prepared to spend hours building. What surprised me was that the tasks of starting a business weren’t the hard part—it was the inner work that asked more of me.

My entrepreneurial journey has unfolded hand in hand with my spiritual one. I left a path that made sense on paper—one I had spent years preparing for—to surrender and serve God with my life. And since then, the growth of With Luv has been deeply tied to my own healing.

I’ve had to untangle myself from a scarcity mindset, heal my relationship with money, calm my nervous system enough to feel safe being seen, and work through layers of vulnerability. I’ve had to unlearn hustle culture and surrender to a more sacred pace—trusting that I am simply a vessel for what God is creating through me.

It’s been grounding. Beautiful. Humbling. And it’s made the work I do with dancers that much more personal and purpose-driven.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
With Luv takes a holistic approach to performance coaching by seeing dancers as whole people—not just athletes. We recognize that each dancer brings a unique combination of perceptions, strengths, struggles, and personal superpowers. We understand that the intersectionality of these elements is complex, but it’s also what makes us exceptional when we learn how to harness it.

Growing up as a dancer, I often found that performance coaching and motivational speakers—usually from other sports—didn’t quite speak to the unique challenges of dance. Dance is a rare intersection of art and sport: competition, precision, and emotional performance. It’s not just about technical execution—it’s about how we show up energetically, both as individuals and as a team.

From my own experience as a dancer and coach, I’ve come to believe that the intangible elements are what often make the biggest difference between success and burnout. Team cohesion, positivity, and shared goals are what elevate a team, but these are skills that often go unrecognized or underdeveloped. I’ve seen dancers waste years in toxic team environments, feeling burnt out or stuck in cycles of self-doubt. That’s why I’m passionate about helping dancers redefine success—focusing on personal and team growth, which is always within their control, rather than focusing solely on competition outcomes. Even if every team doesn’t take home a trophy, every dancer can feel empowered, proud, and accomplished.

At With Luv, we offer a range of services tailored to support both dancers and coaches:

– Team Workshops: In-person, transformative sessions where we guide dancers through self-reflection and provide tools to redefine their value within the team. These workshops aim to build team cohesion, boost confidence, and instill a sense of shared purpose.

– 1:1 Coaching: Personalized coaching sessions designed to help dancers work through their unique challenges, increase their confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves both as athletes and individuals.

– Digital Products: We offer resources like ‘Breakthrough: A Dancer’s Guide to Self Luv’, an e-course focused on self-discovery and building a foundation of confidence that dancers can carry throughout their careers.

While I currently primarily work with dancers, I also understand the unique challenges coaches face. Coaches, like sculptors with their clay, hold the responsibility to guide their teams toward success. However, the absence of formal training for dance coaches leaves many without the resources to guide their dancers through the mental, emotional, and team dynamics that are often just as important as technique. This is where With Luv comes in. Through our services, coaches can give their dancers the tools they need to thrive beyond dance technique—building a foundation of confidence, vulnerability, and personal accountability that supports both individual growth and team unity.

At With Luv, we aspire to leave everyone we work with feeling grounded, inspired, and authentically themselves. Every interaction with our brand is designed to uplift, guide, and empower. This is the heart of what we do—helping dancers, teams, and coaches develop the tools they need to break free from limiting beliefs, overcome obstacles, and reach new heights in both their dance career and personal growth.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was the oldest sibling and grandchild on both sides of my family—so leadership was basically built into my DNA. I definitely had a “bossy” phase (as most firstborns do), but looking back, I was always a visionary. I loved bringing people together around an idea, a goal, or a cause. Anytime I entered a new environment, I’d start off quietly observing, picking up on the energy and dynamic—but once I found my footing, I naturally stepped into a guiding or leadership role. A big part of that was my desire to set the bar high for those coming after me. I’ve always felt a sense of responsibility to lead by example.

I was completely obsessed with dance from the moment I first saw it. My childhood best friend had an older sister who danced, and I remember watching her and her friends practice with this deep sense of awe—like something lit up inside of me. From that moment on, dance became my whole world.

Outside of dance, I was a total character. I’d vlog on my grandpa’s webcam like I had my own Disney Channel show. I was glued to Tiger Beat quizzes like “Which Jonas Brother Are You Going to Marry?” and spent hours journaling or playing school, where I was always the teacher. But underneath all the glitter and girlhood was this deep-seated knowing: that I was made for big things. Even when my external reality didn’t always reflect it, I believed in something greater for my life. That belief—along with my love for people, performance, and leadership—has carried me into everything I do now through With Luv.
