Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Gagner.
Hi Amanda, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After 6 years as a professional photographer, I was ready to take on a new journey—The Booth Bar Co. I wanted to create an experience that was not only fun and unique but also captured the genuine moments people cherish most. A photo booth felt like the perfect extension of my passion for storytelling and creativity.
With my husband by my side, handling the behind the scenes setup and support, we launched The Booth Bar Co. From weddings and birthdays, to corporate events and everything in between, we’ve loved bringing people together and helping them make lasting memories. At The Booth Bar Co., we’re all about having seamless service and a personalized touch that makes your event stand out.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not! Like any small business, there were plenty of ups and downs, learning curves and unexpected challenges. I started my photo booth business while still working a full time job, so I had to manage my time carefully and sometimes take breaks when life got busy. It wasn’t always easy to stay consistent, but I kept coming back to my “why.” I’ve always loved creating moments that people remember, and that passion kept me going even when things got tough. All the love, support, and growth along the way, has made it so worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My Photo Booth business is a way for me to blend my love for photography and graphic design to create custom photo booth experiences that feel fun, thoughtful, and personable. What people seem to connect with most is how intentional the experience feels. I love getting to know my clients and adding personal touches that reflect who they are. It’s about more than a photo, it’s about creating a moment that feels genuine and true to them. What I’m most proud of is staying true to my vision and building a business that reflects who I am. Every moment captured in front of the photo booth, every sweet message from a client – it’s those little things that remind me why I started and why I keep going.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
So many people have played a part in this journey and I truly wouldn’t be here without them. My husband has honestly been my biggest supporter – he’s encouraged me through every challenge and always believed in me before even starting my photo booth business. My friends and family have been my cheerleaders from day one, celebrating the small wins and always showing up for me. And my clients – they’ve been a HUGE part of this. Their excitement, kind words, and trust in my work have pushed me to grow and pour my heart into what I do. Everyone who’s been a part of my journey, whether it’s from sharing my social media posts, recommending me to friends and family, helping out with events, or booking me for their special day – each person has played an important role in making this business what it is now. It’s the encouragement from all sides that keeps me inspired and motivated to keep growing.
