Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Rognrud.
Hi Alicia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
From a very young age, I have always been creative and hands on. In high-school I developed a love for architecture and different building styles. Fresh out of high-school, I decided to further my education and passion by getting my real estate license ( which I still have to this day). Being in real estate, I realized that every building and home tells a story. Whether it be very small detailed craftsmanship or very ornate properties bursting with character. After receiving my real estate license, my first sale was selling my now husband our first home. It is there where I found a true passion for giving homes a new story. So much so, that I reached out to a local painting company and started working for them. For the next 5 years I refined and grew my love for painting and carpentry. I then decided it was time to dive full force and create a company I could call my own and thus Hue & Grove was born.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every business has it’s ups and downs. Their is always an abundance of knowledge that is waiting to be learned. So, no the road is not always smooth. There are deadlines that need to be met, sometimes creating high stress and long hours. There are unpredictable events, like damaged inventory or delays, that through a wrench in the plans. With that, maintaining a positive mindset is everything! I believe every inconvenience or down fall is just a lesson that is meant to be learn.

How do you think about happiness?
Happiness is seeing a vision come to life. Not only for every space we touch, but to be able to give our clients a space they are proud to call home or work. Happiness is being able to instill a passion for painting and carpentry in every person that has helped Hue & Grove grow along the way. Happiness is being able to push the limits on what we have only dreamt of achieving.
