Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Faaaliga.
Hi Sara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Your “Local Personalized Tshirt Shop. My name is Sara Faaaliga, My love for shirts, crews and hoodies started a while back when my family would go on family roadtrips or vacations and we would stop in the local shops looking for apparel that had either the local town, lake or state name on it! For example we went to Duluth one summer and we walked into a shop and said I want the #6 print, pressed on that white crew neck sweatshirt. Simple as that! But I can’t take all the credit, My Uncle would always say this our local town needs a graphic tshirt shop, so after his passing. A few years later I met my husband and he always teased me about my obsession when we would be on vacations I would always want to get a tshirt or sweatshirt and he said why don’t we just open a shop in Battle Lake. Well it’s history from there. Going on our 3rd summer now, and we loving printing shirts for our visitors. We are starting to get requests for all the different local lakes in our area that don’t have shirts or sweatshirts for their lakes. We also love supporting our local schools, and their activities and any other special events!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a smooth road for the most part, but we definitely have had a few challenges. Some of our biggest challenges were making sure we did something different than the other little shops in our town. We love our small town businesses but we wanted to be set apart from them. Its been a little bit of trial and error on what sizes and colors to have available in the store, and sizes.

Lakes Lockeroom, Your “Local” Personalized Graphic Tshirt Shop. We print different prints from Lakes, MN prints, to Funny prints and we print some prints for our local teams and their families. One thing that sets us apart is we try to personalize shirts for different lakes in the area, You may be on a smaller lake that no one knows or stores don’t print them but we will!
We do shirts, crews, hoodies! We have a bunch of colors and brands in store but we can order a color or brand you like and personalize it for you!
What were you like growing up?
I loved spending time with my family and friends. I’ve always loved helping and being around my family and friends if it was at the lake, sporting events. I love hard and have always supported my family and friends. One of my favorite interests is photography, if I’m not at the shop you can usually find me behind my camera taking family photos and senior photos for my other business Sara Faaaliga Photography.
