Story & Lesson Highlights with Sara Fohrenkamm of St. Paul

We recently had the chance to connect with Sara Fohrenkamm and have shared our conversation below.

Sara, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
During my commutes, I regularly listen to KTIS, which I find uplifting due to its inspiring stories and music. At home, I often tune into Tony Robbins’ channel. His content provides consistent motivation and serves as a positive and empowering background as I go about my day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sara Fohrenkamm, and I’m the artist and founder behind Froriginals, a creative brand dedicated to celebrating authenticity, individuality, and bold self-expression. Through my art I aim to inspire others to embrace who they are and find joy in the creative process. Froriginals is more than just a brand—it’s a movement rooted in the belief that everyone is an original, and that’s something to be proud of.
In addition to my work with Froriginals, I’m also a collaborative member of the Crayon Kelly Experience—a colorful, immersive art initiative that brings together artists to foster healing, connection, and creativity. Being part of this collective allows me to contribute to a shared vision while continuing to grow and learn alongside other passionate creatives.
Currently, I’m focused on expanding Froriginals through new art collections, interactive workshops, and creative partnerships. My goal is to use art as a tool for empowerment and to help others see the beauty in being their true, original selves.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
One of the most influential relationships in shaping how I see myself has been with Jill Quednow, the Creative Director of Fun Folks/Artists to Watch and a truly inspiring artist who’s been recognized as one to watch. Jill has been a great friend, an unwavering supporter, and a generous mentor in my creative journey.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Life is too short. Do what you love and live your life.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I deeply admire everyday people who show kindness and integrity in simple, often unnoticed ways—like holding the door for someone, offering help without being asked, or treating everyone with respect regardless of status. These small, consistent acts of compassion and humility say so much about a person’s character. To me, true strength lies not in power or position, but in how we treat others when no one’s watching.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe I’m doing what I was born to do. It hasn’t always been easy—there were definitely societal expectations and standards I had to challenge along the way. But staying true to my passion and creative vision has been essential. I’ve fought against conventional ideas about what success or a “proper” path should look like, and choosing authenticity over conformity has made all the difference in my work and life.
