Hi Jessica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Midwest Estate Sales LLC was initially born from necessity, as I looked for ways to better serve the clients I advocate for in my real estate business. As a licensed Realtor with Realty ONE Group- Black Diamond, I pride myself in concierge-style care that goes beyond the traditional status quo of an agent. Over the last several years, I’ve found that more often than not, clients are in need of creative solutions for removing personal effects from their homes. Whether it be to downsize & declutter, minimize the move to a retirement community or entirely empty a home, due to the passing of a loved one. Because there aren’t resources available which are all-inclusive, I was often spending time referring my clients to multiple contacts, who I wasn’t able to fully vet or ensure were catering to the specific needs of my clients. After lots of prayer & contemplation, my vision came to life through the help of my husband Jon & together we have come full speed into the market as our company is an absolute labor of love!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
LOL… not hardly! Building a dream from scratch is one of the most nerve-wracking, exhilarating & emotionally draining experiences of my life. Every fiber of my heart has gone into bringing this business & my vision to life. Sleepless nights when I couldn’t shut my brain off & days when I felt like I was headed into battle with myself were met with moments of pure joy, when the little things came together & the puzzle pieces finally fit. When the tears would fall, I had the 100% support of my husband, who’s always been my biggest cheerleader. Regardless of the countless “crazy” ideas I’ve had over the years.

I cannot express enough, how important the wisdom & guidance of trusted peers are to me! I have some very special women in my life whom I see as my “life advisors.” Truth-telling, transparent, loving, supportive & incredibly intelligent, these ladies are faith-filled & keep me grounded when life tries complicating the basics. I also find excitement in networking with other business owners whom I’ve come to know through my real estate work. Previous clients, colleagues in the Realty ONE franchise & my own Broker, Marisa Koppen, have offered insight on topics I never knew I needed & those I’m just getting to better understand. Growth is a journey & I’m committed to being flexible enough to work within the confines of the market & stretch the expectations of our clients based on our out of the box strategies.
