Rising Stars: Meet Jordan Case-Allan of Robbinsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Case-Allan.

Hi Jordan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My passion for dance began at a young age. I grew up watching my older brother, Jesse, dance—from long practices to big performance days—and from there, dance became a central part of my life. My adoptive mothers enrolled me in my first dance class when I was about four years old. Surprisingly, I didn’t want to dance at first; instead, I hid behind a piano.

Over time, I grew into a confident dancer who wanted to express myself in my own way. I started competitive dance young and later attended PIM Arts High School. Experiencing these two different environments opened me up to new styles and inspired me to explore a genre that would soon become my passion: heels. Heels allowed me to push my limits and merge the different worlds of training I came from.

Training in this style for the past five years has challenged me artistically, physically and mentally. In 2024, I launched my brand, Butterfly Effect, as a way to teach and share the knowledge I’ve gained throughout my years as a student. My goal is to help dancers take meaningful steps in their own journeys, both in and out of the studio. Today, I teach weekly classes at Hothouse and host frequent pop-up sessions, continuing to grow alongside my community while striving for excellence, authenticity, and connection through movement.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been moments of doubt, financial challenges, and times when opportunities felt out of reach. But each obstacle pushed me to grow not just as a dancer, but as a person. Learning to trust the process, stay consistent, and believe in my purpose turned those struggles into lessons that shaped the artist I am today. I believe the journey should always be celebrated.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a dancer, artist, instructor and choreographer. My specialty is heels, contemporary and creative director. I’m most known for a heels dancer and to set the bar high. I’m most proud of creating my brand “butterfly effect”. Within a year I’ve completed two mentorship and had my very first showcase! I’m different from other because of the boundaries I push. I strive away from norms and love to step out of the box whenever I get the opportunity to.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories are camping with my family. We use to camp a lot in the summer with lots of bikes, hammocks, and bonfires. It was something I always enjoyed because I’m very adventurous!
