Hidden Gems: Meet Christie May Kielblock of Spiritual Connections & Healing – ChristieMay.com

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christie May Kielblock.

Hi Christie May, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey as The Soul Doula began with my own search for peace and serenity. For years, I was living what many would call the “American dream” — a high-level executive management position, a husband, two kids, a dog, and a custom-built home in the country. From the outside, everything looked perfect. I hosted dinner parties, summer barbecues, and appeared to have it all together. But inside, I felt numb. Behind that polished exterior was a woman drowning in stress, trying to be the perfect wife, mother, and professional. I was overworked, exhausted, and losing myself in the process. I ate too much, drank too much, and ignored the growing emptiness inside me. Eventually, my body began to break down. A series of accidents and health issues forced me to stop — physically and emotionally. My boss grew frustrated with my absences, my marriage crumbled, and I lost everything I thought defined me: my job, my husband, and my home. For a time, I completely withdrew from the world. I became agoraphobic and spent two years just trying to survive. But even in that darkness, a quiet whisper inside me began to stir — a voice urging me to heal. Slowly, through therapy, self-study, and deep inner work, I began to listen to my soul. I realized that peace and joy weren’t found in external success or in meeting everyone else’s expectations. They were found within — in learning who I truly was and what made me happy. As I rebuilt my life from the inside out, something amazing happened: I met my soulmate. It wasn’t fireworks or a grand romantic moment — it was a gentle wave of peace and unconditional love. For the first time, I felt seen and accepted for who I truly was. That love created the foundation for the next part of my awakening. Around this time, my psychic and mediumship abilities began to reveal themselves in undeniable ways. I was attending my husband’s cousin’s funeral — someone I had never met before. I suddenly heard a man’s voice chuckle and ask why the funeral was so “fussy.” I was a little surprised at first, but then I realized who it was.
I smiled as I saw him in my mind’s eye — a regular guy wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a flannel over it. He said, “I don’t need all this fancy stuff for my funeral.” I replied, “This isn’t for you, silly; it’s for those who are still here.” He smiled and nodded in understanding. A wave of emotion came over me, but it wasn’t mine — it was his. It was healing for him to understand how deeply he was loved and how much he would be missed by the family and friends gathered that day. Later, I shared what I had received with my husband, describing what I saw and the man’s personality. To my surprise, my husband validated nearly everything I said. I remember turning to him and saying, “I think I might be a medium.” He smiled and replied, “I think you are too.” A few months later, my husband asked if I wanted to visit his niece’s grave. Of course, I went — I wanted to see if I could connect with her. She had passed away many years earlier as a child. When we arrived, I saw a little girl twirling near the tree by her grave. She was so excited that her uncle had come all that way to visit, as he did every year. She beamed at me with a bright smile. I kept quiet, just observing. She showed me how she used to twirl around my husband’s kitchen because it was so big — plenty of room to spin and spin. She giggled as she showed me this little “movie” in my mind. There was more to our conversation, but I’ll keep that to myself for now. On the drive home, I told my husband what had happened, and once again, he validated it. Still, I needed more proof that I wasn’t just imagining things. I asked to see a picture of her when we got home — I needed to be sure that the little girl I saw was really her. And there it was: the same hair, the red shorts, and the white top — exactly what she’d been wearing under the tree. She had told me she loved playing beneath that tree and that her parents chose it for her because she loved trees. That moment changed everything. I joined an online practice circle for mediums and gave my first reading intentionally — and it was accurate. The sitter showed me photos and told me stories confirming the details I had received. I cried and whispered, “You mean I’m really a medium?” It was the moment I realized I wasn’t crazy — I had been communicating with spirit my whole life. From there, everything began to fall into alignment. I immersed myself in studying evidential mediumship, Reiki energy healing, and shadow work. I met a beautiful lightworker who invited me to share her office at a local metaphysical store, and soon
after, I opened my own space. My practice grew quickly, but more importantly, it grew authentically — from my heart and my connection with Spirit. Today, what began as a personal healing journey has evolved into my life’s purpose. As The Soul Doula , I support others in their own transformation through Reiki energy healing, intuitive guidance, and evidential mediumship. My mission is to help others reconnect with their true selves, release emotional and energetic blockages, and experience the comfort of knowing that love never dies — it simply changes form.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I look back at the path that led me here, I can see countless moments where I felt like I didn’t belong in this world. From a young age, I experienced things others didn’t — I saw and heard things that were invisible to everyone else. When I tried to share what I was experiencing, I was often dismissed, labeled as “imaginative,” or even “crazy.” So, I learned to silence it. I ignored the transparent figures I saw, the whispers in my ear, and the sensations in my body that I couldn’t explain. I was a sickly child, often struggling with stomach issues and a constant sense of disconnection from the world around me. To cope, I became a master of pretending — trying to fit in, to be what others expected of me. The mask I wore began early in life. I felt alone and out of place, always chasing something that would make me feel “enough.” I tried filling the void by being the fastest, the funniest, or the smartest — but I was never quite the “-est” at anything, except for not accepting who I truly was. I believed that being different was somehow wrong. Eventually, the ringing in my ears and the whispers faded — for a while. But whenever I faced extreme stress, they would return, reminding me of what I had buried. As an adult, I coped by numbing myself with food and alcohol. After becoming a mother, I realized I wanted more for my life, so I set out to redefine success. At 30, I went back to college and poured myself into it. I worked hard, graduated magna cum laude , and even received the award for Business Student of the Year . For the first time, I thought, Wow, look at me — I did it.
I climbed my way up to a high-level management position and expected to finally feel fulfilled. I wanted to feel proud, to feel seen. But when the congratulations and polite pats on the back faded, I was left with the same emptiness inside. The mask was still there — polished, smiling, and exhausted. I had achieved everything I thought I was supposed to, yet I still felt lost, disconnected, and unseen. It was a very difficult road — but looking back now, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every struggle, every setback, every dark night of the soul shaped me into who I am today. And I can honestly say, I love who I’ve become. Today, I live authentically and embrace myself fully — no masks, no pretending. There’s a deep sense of fulfillment within me that I never knew before. The part of me that once climbed the corporate ladder and graduated with honors is still there, but now she’s balanced by the woman who knows her worth comes from within, not from titles or achievements. That combination — determination, resilience, and self-love — became the foundation for The Soul Doula . My business was born not from ambition, but from intention: the clear, heartfelt desire to heal and to help others do the same. Everything I’ve built has flowed from staying aligned with my higher self and the divine guidance that continues to lead me forward.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is called Spiritual Connections and Healing , because that’s exactly what’s needed to find true peace and joy in life. Everything I offer is rooted in helping people remember that they are not alone — that love, guidance, and healing are always available when we connect to spirit and to ourselves. I offer Psychic Mediumship Readings for connection, Reiki Energy Healing for balance and Spiritual Guidance for growth. I often say that my work is about planting seeds. Sometimes people look at me like I’m a little crazy — and that’s okay. I just smile, because I know I’m happy, fulfilled, and living in alignment with my purpose.
Another piece of my work is teaching evidential mediumship . I’ve been running a practice circle for nearly five years, guiding others as they discover their own ability to connect with the spirit world. Teaching has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey. When I first began to open up to my abilities, I felt guided to create a practice group — even when others told me I wasn’t ready. Unsure, I asked my spirit guides for clarity, and their response was simple but profound: “The more mediums we have in the world, the more healing there is for the world.” That message became the foundation of my teaching. I followed that divine nudge — and I’ve never looked back. Over time, all of these offerings — mediumship, psychic readings, Reiki, and mentoring — began to weave together into something bigger. That’s when The Soul Doula was born. The name represents everything I do: guiding, healing, and nurturing the soul through its many stages of growth. I am a medium, a healer, a mentor, and a bridge between worlds — but above all, I am here to help others remember who they truly are.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t about numbers, titles, or achievements — I’ve had all of that before, and it left me feeling empty. True success is waking up each day knowing I’m living in alignment with my soul’s purpose. It’s the peace that comes from being authentic, serving others with love, and trusting the divine flow that guides my path. Success is seeing the light return to someone’s eyes after a healing session, or hearing the relief in their voice when they realize their loved one in spirit is still with them. It’s witnessing transformation — when someone begins to believe in themselves again, reconnects with their soul, and remembers that they are never alone. To me, that is success — when my work becomes a ripple of healing in the world. When I can look back at the end of the day and know I’ve made even one person feel more hopeful, more seen, and more connected to spirit, then I’ve done exactly what I came here to do.
