Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Kuss.
Hi Sam, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in Cold Spring, MN, I went to Rocori High School and after graduation attended St. Olaf College to get my major in Psychology with a minor in Biomedical studies. After working multiple jobs in the hospitality and corporate grocery industry I decided to go back to school to become a chiropractor. I graduated from Northwestern Health Science University in Bloomington, MN in May of 2024. After working with Maplewood Chiropractic for over a year, I decided to open my own clinic here in the Twin Cities.
Our clinic in Anoka, MN had its grand opening in May of 2025 after spending multiple months remodeling as the previous business was a smoothie shop. My wife Allie and I decided on opening in Anoka as we found the area had a wonderful community feel about it. Nestled amongst multiple other local businesses, our staff hopes the clinic can help promote wellness throughout the entire area. With hopes to work with multiple schools and sporting teams, Kuss Chiropractic aims to be a community pillar in the years to come.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest struggles has been finding clientele and building our awareness throughout the community. Given there are seven other chiropractors in the Anoka area we work hard to find clientele who we can serve best. This is a common struggle for new businesses but thankfully we have increased our weekly traffic through the door by double since opening over 7 months ago.

Rehabilitation is one of our top services for those who recently experienced a traumatic injury may it be from a motor vehicle accident, workman’s compensation, or an everyday life injury. We have a clinic dog named Duncan who has been unanimously named the clinic’s top employee for the last 6 months.
We offer a variety of care plans that are customizable for each individual. From acute care to wellness we have a plan that can work for you and your schedule. Our care is truly patient focused and our chiropractors are willing to take the time to make sure the patient is educated on lifestyle, exercises, and stretches to help improve their overall health outside of the clinic as well.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
This whole business has been a huge risk. Thankfully my wife Allie is a nurse who has been able to support our family as we go through the struggles of owning a new chiropractic office. The amount of time and money one expends to get a business going is a lot of work and is a big risk as a quarter of new businesses close within the first year. Thankfully with all of the support of friends and family we’ve been able to push through and have high hopes for next year to experience more growth as word spreads about our business.
