Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Lorenz.
Hi Heather, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into this work didn’t begin as a business — it began as a search.
Like many people, I moved through seasons of stress, self-doubt, overachievement, and the quiet feeling that there had to be something more. On the outside, life could look “fine,” but internally I knew I was craving deeper peace, alignment, and understanding.
Yoga was one of my first doorways. What began as a physical practice slowly became something much more — a space where I could breathe, feel, and reconnect with myself. From there, I explored meditation, energy work, chakra studies, and eventually Reiki. Each modality didn’t just teach me techniques — it helped me come home to myself.
As I deepened my studies and certifications, I realized that what transformed me most wasn’t just information — it was integration. It was learning how to blend movement, breath, nervous system regulation, energetic awareness, and mindset work into everyday life. That integration became the foundation of everything I offer today.
Over time, what started as personal healing expanded into teaching. I began guiding yoga classes, offering Reiki sessions, leading workshops on chakras and energetic balance, and creating coaching programs around self-trust, self-compassion, intuition, and conscious living. I’ve built retreats, training programs, and immersive experiences that help people slow down, reconnect, and remember who they are beneath the noise.
Today, my work blends yoga, Reiki, meditation, coaching, chakras, and spiritual philosophy into practical, grounded transformation. I’m passionate about helping people regulate their nervous systems, trust themselves more deeply, and live with intention rather than reaction.
This path has been less about “becoming” something new and more about remembering what was always there — and now I have the honor of holding space for others as they do the same.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road — and honestly, I’m grateful for that now.
One of the biggest struggles was internal. Self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and the fear of being “too much” or “not enough” showed up often — especially when stepping into teaching, leading retreats, or offering deeper spiritual work. Holding space for others requires you to continuously expand yourself, and that expansion can feel vulnerable.
There were also very practical challenges. Building something heart-centered and sustainable takes time. There were seasons of financial uncertainty, low enrollment in offerings I poured my heart into, and moments of questioning whether I should just choose a more conventional, predictable path. Entrepreneurship in the wellness space requires resilience — not just spiritually, but structurally.
Another layer was learning boundaries. When you genuinely care about people, it’s easy to over-give. I had to learn how to protect my energy, value my time, and separate service from self-sacrifice. That lesson alone reshaped how I run my programs and how I show up as a practitioner.
And personally, growth isn’t linear. There were periods of burnout, emotional processing, and confronting old patterns — especially around worthiness and control. The irony is that the work I teach — nervous system regulation, self-trust, energetic alignment — is the same work I’ve had to practice consistently myself.
But here’s what I’ve come to understand: the struggles weren’t detours. They were initiations.
They deepened my compassion. They strengthened my discernment. They made my work more embodied and less theoretical.
So no, it hasn’t been smooth — but it’s been meaningful. And every challenge has refined not just my offerings, but who I am while offering them.
We’ve been impressed with Journeys with heather and Studio HALO, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At the heart of my professional life is integration. I don’t just teach yoga, or just offer Reiki, or just coach mindset. I specialize in blending nervous system regulation, energy work, chakra work, breathwork, meditation, and spiritual philosophy into practical, embodied transformation.
What sets me apart is that my work lives at the intersection of grounded and mystical.
I deeply respect the energetic body — chakras, Reiki, subtle awareness — but I also care about structure, integration, and sustainability. My clients don’t just leave inspired; they leave with tools. They understand why something works in their nervous system. They learn how to regulate themselves in real life — in relationships, in business, in stress — not just on a yoga mat.
I’m known for creating immersive experiences. Whether it’s a retreat, a coaching program, Reiki training, or a themed offering like my chakra-based workshops or “Mix It Monday” experiences, everything is intentional. I weave together movement, breath, ritual, journaling, reflection, and energy work in a way that feels cohesive rather than fragmented.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that what I offer is embodied. I don’t teach concepts I haven’t lived. The self-trust programs came from my own journey of learning to trust myself. The self-compassion work came from navigating guilt and over-responsibility. The nervous system and slow-living teachings were born from burnout and rebuilding. My brand isn’t aspirational perfection — it’s practiced alignment.
I also prioritize depth over hype. In an industry that can sometimes lean performative, I care about authenticity, education, and long-term transformation. My spaces are safe, thoughtful, and expansive — but also grounded and human.
What I want readers to know is this: my work is about helping people remember who they are beneath stress, conditioning, and overachievement. It’s about building self-trust, emotional resilience, and energetic clarity so they can live intentionally instead of reactively.
Whether someone joins a retreat, Reiki training, coaching program, or class, they’re not just attending an event — they’re entering a carefully held space designed to support real, lasting growth.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing that might surprise people is that I’m actually incredibly structured and analytical behind the scenes.
From the outside, my work can look very intuitive, flow-based, and spiritually led — and it is — but what most people don’t see is how much thought, planning, and structure goes into everything I create. My retreats, coaching programs, chakra workshops, and Reiki trainings are deeply mapped out. I study various practices, nervous system science, spiritual philosophy, and curriculum design just as much as I meditate.
Another surprising piece is that I didn’t start this work because I felt confident and enlightened — I started because I was searching. I’ve wrestled with self-doubt, overthinking, perfectionism, and the pressure to hold everything together. The calm presence people experience now was cultivated. It wasn’t automatic.
I also genuinely love the “real-life” integration side of this work — spreadsheets, planning timelines, refining frameworks, building long-term programs. There’s a part of me that thrives on creating systems that make transformation sustainable. I care deeply about making spiritual work practical and usable in everyday life.
So while my brand may feel soft, grounded, and intuitive — behind it is someone who values discipline, depth, study, and structure just as much as flow.
