Meet Kari Olson of Kodiak Coffee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kari Olson.

Hi Kari, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started working at Kodiak Coffee in 2004 as a barista. My goal was to own my own business. I fell in love with Kodiak and knew I would own this business. Fast forward to 2014 and that dream became reality. I had a silent business partner for 8 years. Finally, I was able to purchase the business in November of 2021. We have created such a wonderful community at the coffee shop. Made it a safe space for all to come in and enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation. We pride ourselves on making hand crafted beverages and supporting local businesses. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary this December.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have faced several challenges throughout the years. A round about was put in next to the shop which made it hard for customers to make their way in for about 3 months. Covid really impacted every business. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to stay open with our drive thru.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Kodiak Coffee?
