Today we’d like to introduce you to Edmyr Morales.
Hi Edmyr, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am from puerto Rico, I came to minnesota in 2016. With 135 dollars on me. I study electricity in 2001 and graduate in 2003, in took my test and pass. My father whas the one to talk to me in to study electrical. Who’s the best depiction ever. In to 2010 I start a bar in puerto Rico that is how everything start l. I met Jim Williams and Terry mulligan they go in the winter to puerto rico and they stay in a house in front of the bar that I use to own. We become very good friends, I love them like family. We’ll I won competition making mojitos in 2015 Terry invite me to come to minnesota to be a bartender in his back yard party making mojitos whas amazing that first time we serve close to 250 people and the party became tradition we attended for 2016 close to 450 people whas a lot, we’ll that year we start talking about electrician needed in minnesota, Jimmy give me a bedroom and a bed and I bought a fly ticket and move to minnesota. Start my journey since 2016 i did my apprenticeship in commercial pass my journeyman in 2021, bought my house and move closer to the cities and start working residential and learn so much that I whant to start my own business and start studying for my master and pass in 2025, in with the savings that I have start doing all the papers to make it real and start part time in May off 2025 .
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Having the working capital is the big challenge and willing to work very hard a lot of hours between the w-2 job and the company.
We’ve been impressed with Eddie Electric llc, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At this time I am a 1 man shop and a partime apprentice, we are a home service, commercial and farm electrical service company. We treat costumer house like it was aware own. We show up on time and get the job done correctly and on time.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Quality of work, guaranteed the work that we do and show up , to the job.
