Andre Mchenry shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Andre, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What battle are you avoiding?
Biggest battle I’m battling is learning that all money is not good money and quality over quantity. We are very big on perfection while some new hires are worried about speed and less there quality. But overall I tell them it comes with time and doing the quality work you only get better and more efficient
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Andre Mchenry I’m 31 years old. I was a teacher for the union and a foreman as well as a supervisor. Threw coming up threw the ranks I’ve experienced it all nepotism, favoritism, and racism. Which propelled me to start my own company to give a honest a straightforward start for guys mainly people of color and less politics. When I was working union, I noticed that a lot of homeowners could not get their houses worked on due to the fact that there was a large. Output of commercial work.. we’re a company that has won many awards. We’re currently ranked number one right now and we’re all about saving homeowners money but giving them that top dollar performance. And building relationships
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a scared, confused, young man a fatherless young man looking for direction and guidance. This trade has provided me that.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Last year was starting to lose love for what I was doing here. Lost focus of our mission helping so many people in such short time I was losing myself. I started getting back in the field and remembering why I fell in love with the trade in the first place. Sometimes you have to start at level one to remember the steps and the process through the next levels
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Standing behind our reputation in our name, honest, straightforward, hard-working, and a realist
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I had 10 years left, I wouldn’t spend as much time, training people and hiring as many people as I’ve done in the past.
