Inspiring Conversations with Michelle Wall of Infinity Massage & Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Wall.

Hi Michelle , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I personally started out in the Twin Cities area and had my own practice for several years, in 2010 I moved to Duluth and worked at a few businesses in the area. This was a great asset to learn about the Duluth Community and meet so many wonderful people. In 2011, I opened my own space in Hermantown in Gordy’s Plaza. In 2014, Infinity Massage & Wellness was created. We wanted to offer something unlike other massage businesses. In 2021, we moved to our current location, and it was everything we dreamed it could be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always bumps in the road! Being a female small business owner has its challenges. I think the biggest challenge for me has been to learn to lead people. We are all so different, and that is what makes Infinity wonderful. I’m working on setting boundaries; I tend to be too accommodating. I remind myself that you are running a business. One of the hardest components is the set of changes the State is imposing on small businesses. It can be challenging to ensure we are compensating employees fairly while still keeping our clients/customers happy and having a successful business.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Infinity Massage & Wellness?
We are a team of 42 employees. We offer several massage modalities; we want our massage therapists to practice within their scope and do what they love. That is a beautiful thing to have offerings that align with each therapist. We also have three Estheticians. Chelsea Moe is our Master Esthetician and Manager. When we moved here in 2021, it wasn’t part of the plan, and a few months before we opened, Chelsea came into the picture. We have grown that side of the business, and we are very proud to be more hands-on with esthetics.

Lauren Riddell is our retail buyer, manager, and massage therapist, and we have an amazing variety of retail. Lauren is very thoughtful in curating the best products for our community. It is ever-changing, and we also want to offer things that other businesses in town don’t, so it provides variety within our community.

Laurie Corwin is our front desk manager, a Reiki Master, and a Sound Therapy practitioner. She leads a wickley talented customer-driven front desk team. They are what keep the business running smoothly. I am always in awe of ther skill sets and customer service! Ava Fillipi is my right-hand manager, and Kloster is our event and experience coordinator.

We also offer infrared sauna services. This service can be a standalone service or added to an appointment.
