Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Heinen.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Triple H Acres began as a way for us to return to a simpler, more intentional way of living. We wanted to raise our own food, know exactly where it came from, and provide something real for our family. What started small, focusing only on quality and sustainability, quickly grew as we realized there was a need for products people could trust.
Over time, we expanded into raising grass-fed beef, producing honey, maple syrup, and creating tallow-based skincare products. Everything we do is rooted in keeping things clean, natural, and as close to the source as possible.
Like any small operation, there have been challenges along the way, but those moments helped shape what Triple H Acres is today. We’ve learned to adapt, grow, and stay focused on our values.
Today, we’re proud to offer products that come directly from our farm to our customers, and we’re continuing to grow while staying true to that original mission. Quality, transparency, and family are at the center of everything we do.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been working with nature. The weather plays a huge role in everything we do, especially when it comes to growing feed for our animals. Some seasons go well, and others do not, and you have to learn to adjust as you go.
We also deal with thistles and other weeds. We choose to manage them by hand rather than using chemicals, and some days that can be a lot of work. It takes time and effort, but it is important to us to do things the right way.
Another difficult part has been losing animals due to natural causes. That is never easy, and it is one of the harder realities of this kind of work.
These challenges have pushed us to grow, stay patient, and remain committed to what we are building
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Triple H Acres, we focus on raising quality food and making products people can trust. We raise grass-fed beef, produce honey and maple syrup, and create tallow-based skincare, along with other homemade goods. Everything we do is centered around keeping things simple, natural, and as close to the source as possible.
What we specialize in is doing things the right way, even when it takes more time. We are hands-on in every part of the process, from how our animals are raised to how our products are made and packaged.
What we are most proud of is being able to provide for our family and others in a way that we believe in. There is a lot of pride in knowing exactly where something comes from and being able to stand behind it.
What sets us apart is that this is not just a business to us. It is our lifestyle. We are not cutting corners or doing things the easy way. We are doing them in a way that lines up with our values, and people can see and taste the difference.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I learn a lot through books and podcasts. It really depends on what I am struggling with at the time. Sometimes it is parenting, sometimes finding the best grass or feed for our animals, and other times figuring out how to make time for myself and our family.
I also spend a lot of time learning by doing. I enjoy making things homemade, so I am always trying new things and figuring out what works best for us.
