Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Bonilla.
Hi Kiara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Kiara but everyone calls me Ki. I am the owner of Squeek Ki Clean, a family operated cleaning business based in the Carolinas.
I am a mother to a beautiful daughter as well as a fur baby. Growing up I always said that, if I became a mom I would give my kid the entire world. I started this cleaning business in hopes of doing exactly that.
After years of working for other people I took a leap of faith and said, “if they can do it so can I.” So here we are now, only a few months in and I am paying my bills with a business that is mine. All thanks to the man above, my family, and most importantly my daughter.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely been a rollercoaster starting this business! I have lost some of my closest friends, sleep, and at times my sanity. There were days I thought I would never make it. Nights I stayed up late trying to come up with a new plan. Hours of editing content, trying to get the perfect angle or sound. In those moments all I could do was pray, and look at my daughter for motivation. I had to remember the worst possible outcome would be me not trying, not giving my all and simply giving up. I started setting alarms for specific times & days. I dedicated those times solely to my business. Whether that be getting out and networking, or buying supplies, I started organizing how and when I would run my business while still having a life outside of it. This helped me tremendously in balancing being a full time mom and business owner.
We’ve been impressed with Squeek Ki Clean, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am proud to introduce my cleaning business- Squeek Ki Clean! We are family operated and work out of the Carolinas. We specialize in commercial move in and out cleanings, but we offer residential cleanings as well. We are known for our attention to details, taking the time to clean from ceiling fans to baseboards. At Squeek Ki Clean we listen to our clients needs and execute them with care and efficiency. We offer carpet cleaning, organizing, and consulting services as add ons. My favorite part of it all is that we take the time to teach our trade. Here at Squeek Ki Clean, we offer knowledgeable information that helps our clients keep their space looking good longer!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
There were days I was ready to give up, those same days I booked new clients. Some may say that it was luck. I call that a prayer answered from God.
