Hi JC, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After years of leading HR functions in fast-growing organizations, I saw a clear gap: small and mid-sized businesses needed senior-level HR strategy and support but couldn’t justify (or afford) a full-time CHRO. That’s why I founded JC Organizational Strategies—to deliver high-impact, fractional HR and people-strategy solutions exactly when and how businesses need them.
My career has centered on turning people challenges into competitive advantages. I’ve guided teams through rapid scaling, cultural shifts, compliance crises, and leadership development. Over time, I realized the greatest value I could offer wasn’t in another corporate role, but in partnering directly with leaders who want practical, no-fluff guidance that drives real results.
That’s the foundation of JC Organizational Strategies: combining deep HR expertise with Moxie, Grit, Ignite, and Alignment to help businesses move beyond constant firefighting and build strong, scalable people systems.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been entirely smooth — and I wouldn’t expect it to be when starting a business.
One of the biggest early struggles was imposter syndrome. Even with years of proven HR leadership experience and real results delivered for organizations, I still questioned whether I belonged out on my own. There were plenty of days when I wondered if I was ready to step away from the security of a corporate role and fully bet on myself.
Getting my name and services known has also been challenging. Building visibility and consistent leads for a new consulting firm takes time, persistence, and effort. Then there’s the sales side of things. I’ve always struggled with traditional “salesmanship” because it often feels inauthentic to me. I don’t enjoy pushing services onto people who don’t truly need or want them.
What I do love is helping organizations that are genuinely ready to improve. I know the tangible impact I’ve made in past roles — stronger cultures, better retention, smoother growth, and real compliance peace of mind. That’s why I started JC Organizational Strategies: to bring that same value to small and mid-sized businesses in an honest, transparent way.
There are no bait-and-switch tactics here. No high-pressure sales tricks. Just authentic care for you, your business, and your employees. My goal is simple — to partner only with leaders who see the value in strategic people leadership and want a genuine collaborator who will help them thrive.
The road hasn’t been perfectly smooth, but the struggles have sharpened my focus and reinforced why this work matters so much to me.
