Hi Tou, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a time of uncertainty and I was laid off. Services for our special needs child was altered which made my situation hard to find work. After being on unemployment for some time, my wife Siry and I decided to pursue our dream of owning our own business. We decided we would take a leap of faith and work for ourselves. We ran other businesses before, but we always gravitated towards opening our own cafe. To get it right, we spent months researching concepts, studying industry trends, and gathering unique ideas for our venture. Once we had a solid vision, the real hunt began-searching for the perfect location to bring our cafe to life. And here we are today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been an entirely smooth road. We endured long, stressful hours and faced plenty of trial and error before reaching where we are today-and we are still learning every day. Beyond navigating complex regulations, taxes, and team structures, our biggest focus was understanding our community’s needs and perfecting our customer service. Every hurdle was worth it to build a space that truly serves everyone.

Crafting the perfect boba is an art, not just a business. Our defining feature- frequently celebrated by our guests- is our dedication to authenticity, we use only real tea, brewed fresh daily. Prior to launching our cafe, we invested heavily in research and development to achieve the ideal harmony of flavor and visual presentation. We believe the environment should match the quality of the cup, which is why our cafe features a thoughtfully curated interior with rotating, seasonal themes designed to welcome and delight.

After years of traditional jobs, my wife and I decided to step out of our comfort zones, we’re ordinary people who started with nothing and built this cafe through sheer hard work and determination. No handouts, just hustle. It just goes to show that if you want something and work tirelessly towards it, it will come to fruition.
