Conversations with Eunice Adjei

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eunice Adjei.

Hi Eunice, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Ghana and immigrated to the United States with a strong desire to create opportunities for myself and others. Like many immigrants, I had to navigate a new culture, build a professional network from scratch, and learn systems that were unfamiliar to me. Those experiences shaped my passion for community engagement, leadership, and economic empowerment.
Over the years, I became deeply involved in community work, particularly in supporting underrepresented communities through leadership development, financial education, and entrepreneurship. In 2015, I founded the Jugaad Leadership Program, a leadership development initiative focused on empowering BIPOC leaders. Today, I serve as Director of Multicultural Services at St. Cloud Financial Credit Union, where I work to create inclusive products, strengthen community partnerships, and improve access to financial services for diverse populations.
My journey has been driven by a commitment to helping others succeed while creating pathways for communities that have historically been overlooked.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Like many first-generation immigrants, I faced challenges related to cultural adjustment, limited resources, and learning how to navigate professional environments that often-lacked representation. There were obstacles that required persistence and resilience.
Building credibility, launching programs, and balancing professional responsibilities with community leadership often required long hours and sacrifices. However, those experiences taught me perseverance, adaptability, and the importance of building strong relationships. Every challenge became an opportunity to learn and grow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My career has centered on community development, leadership, and financial empowerment. As Director of Multicultural Services at St. Cloud Financial Credit Union, I lead initiatives that strengthen relationships with diverse communities, create culturally responsive products and expand access to financial education and resources.
Beyond my professional role, I have been actively involved in community leadership, serving on boards, and nonprofit initiatives focused on education, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and civic engagement. Through the Jugaad Leadership Program, I have worked with emerging leaders to build skills, confidence, and networks that help them create positive change in their communities.
I am honored to have received recognition for my leadership and community impact, including being featured among the Most Powerful Women to Watch in 2026. While these recognitions are meaningful, my greatest reward continues to be seeing individuals and communities grow, succeed, and thrive.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was curious, ambitious, and always interested in helping others. I enjoyed learning, connecting with people, and finding ways to solve problems. I was drawn to leadership opportunities early on and often found myself organizing activities, supporting friends, and looking for ways to contribute to my community.
Those qualities have stayed with me throughout my life. I still enjoy mentoring others, building connections, and creating opportunities for people to thrive. My passion for service, leadership, and community impact continues to guide both my personal and professional life.
