Meet Laurie Wondra of Minnesota

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laurie Wondra.

Hi Laurie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The Journey of Laurie Wondra and walking between worlds

Some lives unfold in a straight line. Mine never did. Long before I understood words like intuition, mediumship, energy healing, or consciousness, I knew there was something different about the way I experienced the world.

As a young child growing up in Minnesota, I often felt connected to something beyond what others could see. I remember speaking with Archangel Michael as naturally as other children spoke to imaginary friends. I was disciplined when I was in 2nd grade for ‘talking to Archangel Michael’ in the hallways at a catholic school. To me, these experiences were not unusual, so I was confused about why I was ‘in trouble.’ They were simply part of life. I sensed presences, felt energies, and perceived information that seemed to arrive from somewhere beyond ordinary understanding. This was the first time I had the realization that I was, or something was, different, and I quickly learned that not everyone shared these experiences. As I grew older, I began to quietly set those gifts aside. I focused on school, family, work, and building a life in the world that everyone else seemed to understand.

For many years, I followed a path that appeared very different from the spiritual work I would eventually embrace. I entered the world of business, science, and technology, developing a successful career that spanned decades. I was a software developer, then quickly became a leader, strategist, and executive, eventually serving in global leadership and Chief Information Officer roles. I traveled extensively, led large organizations, managed complex systems, organizational change, human potential, and I learned how to navigate the corporate world with confidence and determination.

On the surface, it may have seemed that I had left my childhood gifts behind, but they never left me. I eventually came to understand that intuition and my psychic abilities had been guiding me all along.

The same inner knowing that allowed me to perceive energy also helped me recognize opportunities, solve problems, understand people, and lead organizations through change. While others viewed my success as analytical or strategic, I increasingly realized that much of what I knew came from listening to something deeper.

Throughout those years, spiritual experiences continued to emerge. Encounters with angels, guides, loved ones in spirit, and profound moments of connection reminded me that there was far more to life than what could be measured or explained. My administrative assistant would check in on me in the mornings, and behind her, I could see the energy of her father, who had passed away years before. In executive meetings, while assessing the numbers or timeline for a project, I’d get a knowing of different information than what was presented.

The two worlds I inhabited, the practical world of business and the unseen world of spirit, began moving toward one another. I would teach, write, see clients on the evenings or weekends, and work my corporate job during the week. Though in the world of technology, there were often weekend or night deployments, projects that also pulled on my time. In all of this, I raised two amazing children. How did I get this all done? I learned that time is only a 3D concept, with limits in our minds and in the environments and systems we work within.

Eventually, the lives I inhabited merged. After years of inner prompting and spiritual awakening, I stepped away from my corporate career and fully embraced the path that had been calling me since childhood. What followed was not a reinvention of myself but a remembering. I began sharing my gifts more publicly as a psychic medium, energy healer, shamanic practitioner, teacher, speaker, and author full-time. I discovered that the skills developed throughout my business career became powerful tools for helping others navigate their own journeys. I could speak both the language of logic and science and the language of spirit and mysticism.

People came seeking answers. Some arrived after losing loved ones. Others were navigating illness, grief, career transitions, relationships, or spiritual awakening. Many simply felt that something inside them was calling for more. Some were skeptical and wanted to prove that beliefs in energy, people that had died, and past lives weren’t real, but spirit would work through me to shift them, leaving them more open and with new awareness.

Through thousands of readings, healing sessions, classes, retreats, and conversations, I witnessed a profound truth: People are not looking for someone to tell them what to do. They are looking for permission to trust what they already know.

My work became less about predicting the future and more about helping people reconnect with their own inner wisdom. As my practice expanded, so did my desire to teach.

During this transmutation of energy from a corporate setting to a more spiritual life, I began writing. Currently, I have written eight books and two Oracle decks. My ninth book is presently in editing. I’ve created a library of courses and an Academy to help others on their path. My solo podcast, Messages from the Universe, is in 142 countries and has over 400 episodes. My focus is on developing programs that explore the intersection of spirituality, energy, healing, science, and consciousness. My mission is to be a conduit of this information to those ready for it. Through Messages from the Universe and the many teachings that followed, I shared what decades of experience had revealed—that life is not random, that energy carries intelligence, and that every soul is engaged in a sacred conversation with the Universe.

Along the way, my own journey continued to deepen. Experiences with illness, healing, personal transformation, and profound spiritual growth reminded me that no one is exempt from life’s challenges. The work I teach is not theoretical. It has been forged through joy and heartbreak, success and uncertainty, faith and surrender.

Every experience became a teacher. Every challenge became an invitation. Every ending became a doorway to something new.

Today, I stand in a place where all the pieces of my life make sense, and when they don’t, I have the curiosity, the energetic resources, and tools to find out why or what

The child who spoke with angels. The corporate executive who led global organizations. The healer who works with energy, sound, and crystals. The author who writes about consciousness. The teacher who helps others discover their gifts. The medium who brings messages of hope from the spirit. They are not separate people. They are all me.

My journey has taught me that we are far more than our titles, accomplishments, challenges, or circumstances. We are multidimensional beings having a human experience while remembering our divine nature. I was once on a flight to England for work and sat next to a physicist on his way to CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. CERN operates the world’s largest particle physics laboratory, including the famous Large Hadron Collider. When he asked what ‘I do’, I paused, not sure how to respond. Was I the CIO traveling for a meeting with staff in England, France, Germany, or Italy, or was I a Psychic Medium given the title of Shaman by healers and tribes in my life and travels?

If there is one message I hope my life conveys, it is this: The answers we seek are rarely outside of us. They live within us. Sometimes we simply need someone to help us remember how to listen and be brave enough to share.

The journey that began with a little girl talking to angels is still unfolding today. I’m an Elder Soul in reincarnation terms, but in many ways, it is only just beginning. My greatest passion is working with people.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not been a smooth road, and honestly, I wouldn’t expect it to be. We evolve when we are not comfortable. We move away from the discomfort. We evolve. Some of life’s greatest growth comes through its greatest challenges.

Like many women, I navigated a divorce while raising two children. As a single parent, I carried the responsibility of providing for my family financially, emotionally, and physically. I supported both of my children through college while managing a mortgage, car payments, insurance, and all the day-to-day realities of building a stable life. There were many times when the weight of those responsibilities felt overwhelming, but they also taught me resilience, determination, and the importance of trusting myself.

Life also brought challenges that extended far beyond finances and career decisions. I faced my own health issues while continuing to care for those I loved. At a young age, my son experienced life-altering long-term health challenges that require ongoing support, advocacy, and strength as a mother. Prior to divorce, my husband was involved in a life-changing car accident, adding another layer of complexity to an already demanding journey.

At the same time, I experienced profound personal loss. Both of my parents passed away, as did one of my siblings. As often happens after significant losses, the family structure I had known throughout my life changed dramatically. The biological family I grew up with was there but distant, and I found myself navigating life and change, realizing that family sometimes evolves in ways we never expect.

One of the most significant challenges came when I chose to leave a successful corporate career. I had spent decades building a career that provided financial security, stability, and professional recognition. Walking away from that certainty to pursue a path in spirituality, healing, and intuitive work required me to confront some of my deepest fears. There were no guarantees, no roadmap, and no promise that it would succeed.

What made the decision even more difficult was that not everyone understood it. Some people questioned my choices. Some thought I was unrealistic. A few even thought I was crazy. It’s not easy to follow a calling when others cannot see what you see or feel what you feel. Leaving a respected executive career in technology to follow a spiritual path challenged not only my finances and sense of security but also my willingness to stand firmly in my truth, regardless of others’ opinions.

But I learned that courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is moving forward despite the fear. Every challenge strengthened my faith in myself, in the guidance I was receiving, and in the work I was meant to do. The decision to publish my first book was THE announcement of my worldview to the world.

Looking back, I can see that every obstacle helped shape who I am today. The struggles taught me compassion, perseverance, humility, and trust. They deepened my understanding of grief, healing, caregiving, loss, and transformation. They prepared me to help others navigate their own uncertainty, transitions, and life-changing experiences. While the road was not smooth, it was meaningful, and I would not change the journey that brought me here. The challenges did not break me—they revealed strengths I never knew I possessed and ultimately led me to the work I was born to do.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Today, I am an internationally known psychic medium, shamanic practitioner, energy and sound healer, author, educator, and speaker. For more than 30 years, I have helped people find direction, healing, and answers during some of the most important transitions of their lives.

My work combines intuitive guidance, mediumship, energy healing, sound healing, spiritual education, and consciousness studies. People seek me out for many reasons. Some are grieving the loss of a loved one and are looking for connection and healing. Others are facing major life decisions, relationship challenges, health concerns, career transitions, or spiritual awakenings. Many simply know there is something more to life and want to better understand their purpose and path.

I specialize in helping people reconnect with their own inner wisdom. While I provide intuitive information and spiritual insight, my true goal is not to create dependency on me. My goal is to help people trust themselves. I believe every person has access to intuition, guidance, and a deeper understanding of their own journey. Sometimes they simply need help remembering how to listen.

My areas of expertise include the study and application of sound, vibration, frequency, energy, and consciousness. I am particularly known for my ability to bridge spiritual practices with an understanding of the science behind them. I teach and work extensively with crystals, vibrational medicine, sound-healing technologies, frequency-based healing modalities, and the body’s energetic systems. I help people understand how energy moves, how vibration influences our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, and how ancient wisdom often intersects with modern scientific discovery.

I am also known for helping people see energy through a different lens. Whether through nature, sound, symbols, synchronicities, dreams, or intuitive impressions, I help individuals recognize the many ways guidance is constantly communicating with us. Nature, in particular, has been one of my greatest teachers. Throughout my life, I have received profound messages and insights from animals, natural cycles, landscapes, and the living intelligence that surrounds us. I teach others how to reconnect with that relationship and learn to hear the messages that are often overlooked in our busy world.

Perhaps one of my greatest gifts is helping people find answers and clarity when there appears to be none. When someone feels stuck, lost, overwhelmed, or unable to see a path forward, I help them uncover perspectives, possibilities, and guidance that they may not have recognized on their own. Often the answers are already present; my role is to help people discover them.

I am also the author of multiple books, the creator of educational programs, the host of the podcast Messages from the Universe, and the founder of teachings that bridge spirituality, energy, science, sound, and consciousness. Through classes, retreats, certifications, writings, and public speaking, I strive to make complex spiritual concepts practical, accessible, and meaningful for everyday life.

What I am most proud of is not the number of readings I have done, the books I have written, or the audiences I have reached. I am most proud of the lives I have helped transform. There is nothing more meaningful than witnessing someone move from fear to confidence, grief to healing, confusion to clarity, or disconnection to a deeper understanding of themselves and their purpose.

What sets me apart is the unique combination of experiences I bring to my work. Before fully stepping into this path, I spent decades in the corporate world, leading global organizations and serving in executive leadership roles. That background taught me how to think strategically, solve complex problems, and communicate with people from all walks of life. At the same time, I was developing and refining the intuitive and energetic abilities that have been present since childhood.

Because of this, I understand both the practical and spiritual sides of life. I have lived through personal loss, health challenges, caregiving, divorce, financial responsibility, career transformation, and profound spiritual awakening. I don’t approach spirituality as an escape from reality. I approach it as a way to better understand reality.

I often describe my work as a bridge between worlds, a bridge between science and spirituality, intuition and logic, the seen and unseen, the practical and the mystical. My mission is to help people understand themselves, their energy, their purpose, and their connection to something greater than themselves.

Ultimately, what I am known for is helping people remember who they are. Whether through a reading, a healing session, a class, a retreat, a podcast episode, or a conversation, my purpose is to help others reconnect with their own light, wisdom, and ability to create a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Any big plans?
I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead. One of the things I have learned throughout my life is that while we can make plans, some of the most meaningful opportunities arise through guidance, synchronicity, and openness to where Spirit leads. My intention is to continue expanding the ways I can serve, teach, and help others discover their own connection to intuition, healing, and higher awareness.

A major focus for me is the continued growth of the Wondra Academy of Intuitive and Energy Arts. The Academy provides ongoing opportunities for learning, exploration, and community, with classes offered both locally in Minnesota and virtually worldwide. Partnering with Green Lotus Yoga and Healing Centers, I will continue hosting the Academy programs on the first Thursday of every month, creating a consistent space for individuals to deepen their understanding of energy, intuition, consciousness, and spiritual development. I’ll also continue to offer other classes and Channeling Sessions.

Education continues to be a cornerstone of my work. I will continue offering my Sound Healing and Acoustic Technologies Certification Program twice each year, training practitioners in the science, art, and application of sound, vibration, frequency, and energetic healing modalities. It is incredibly rewarding to watch students develop confidence in their abilities and bring these tools into their own communities and practices.

I also look forward to continuing the weekly release of my Messages from the Universe podcast, which reaches listeners worldwide every Monday. The podcast allows me to share spiritual insights, energy updates, consciousness teachings, and practical guidance with a growing global audience. Alongside the podcast, I will continue to publish my monthly newsletter, offering inspiration, education, upcoming events, and reflections on the energetic themes shaping our lives.

Writing remains one of my greatest passions, and there are definitely more books ahead. I am currently in the editing phase of Sound Healing and Acoustic Technologies, a project that brings together years of study, experience, and teaching in vibrational medicine and frequency-based healing. Also in development are Sacred Ceremonies and Prayers, a collection of spiritual practices and sacred invocations, and a new Oracle Deck designed to help individuals access guidance, insight, and personal reflection in meaningful ways.

Travel and immersive experiences will continue to play an important role in my work. I look forward to hosting my annual September retreats in Northern Minnesota, where participants gather to reconnect with nature, themselves, and the deeper rhythms of life. I also anticipate new international adventures, opportunities to teach, learn, and connect with people from different cultures and perspectives around the world.

Most importantly, I hope to continue evolving. Every year brings new lessons, new understandings, and new opportunities to serve. If my life has taught me anything, it is that the path often unfolds in ways we could never fully predict. While I have goals and projects that excite me, I trust that Spirit will continue to direct and guide me toward what is most important, allowing me to contribute in ways that support healing, growth, understanding, and transformation for those I am privileged to serve.
