Community Highlights: Meet Wendy Reese of Santosha Healing Arts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Reese.

Hi Wendy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey with yoga began more than 25 years ago as a form of physical exercise. As a lifelong athlete, I was initially drawn to the strength and movement yoga offered, though at the time I did not fully understand why it left me feeling so grounded, balanced, and renewed.
With a background in business, my path originally looked very different. During a challenging season of life — navigating divorce while working full time to support my two young boys — I felt called to pursue work that carried deeper meaning and offered genuine benefit to others.
Fifteen years ago, I began teaching yoga, and that decision transformed both my personal life and professional direction. Through a consistent practice, I experienced significant relief from back pain related to scoliosis by strengthening my core and developing greater body awareness. My desire to continue learning and healing led me to study Thai Bodywork, Reiki, and other holistic modalities.
Over time, both my business and my own spiritual journey have continued to evolve. What began as teaching yoga has expanded into a heart-centered healing practice that now includes spiritual coaching, Reiki sessions and training, and Akashic Records readings. My intention is to create a supportive space where others can reconnect with themselves, heal emotionally and energetically, and deepen their spiritual awareness while finding greater balance in everyday life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always challenges that come with being both a business owner and a single parent. Balancing family responsibilities while running a business requires resilience, flexibility, and a great deal of determination. Fortunately, I truly love the work that I do, which makes the journey incredibly rewarding.

The COVID pandemic and subsequent lockdowns presented a unique set of obstacles, forcing many small businesses to adapt in unexpected ways. Through it all, I have been fortunate to trust my intuition, follow the guidance that felt aligned, and continue moving forward.

Looking back, I feel deeply grateful. Some of the most amazing, heart-centered, and inspiring people have found their way to my business. The connections, relationships, and community that have been created along the way have felt nothing short of magical.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in offering intuitive guidance through my healing practices and yoga classes. By creating a safe and supportive space, I help clients reconnect with their inner wisdom, gain clarity, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and ease. Whether through yoga, Reiki, energy healing, Thai massage, or spiritual guidance, my intention is to support each person’s unique healing journey and empower them to live in greater alignment with their authentic self.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I believe that growth is a lifelong journey. I am continually learning, exploring, and expanding my understanding of healing, spirituality, and wellness so that I can become the best version of myself. Each new experience, training, and insight not only enriches my own life but also allows me to bring fresh tools, wisdom, and support to my clients. As I continue to evolve, I am grateful to walk alongside others on their own paths of healing, growth, and self-discovery.
