Today we’d like to introduce you to Belle Mazurek.
Hi Belle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I’m Belle, and I’m from St. Cloud, Minnesota. I relocated here in 2023 after spending nearly my whole life in the Forest Lake area.
I never started gaming with the intention of becoming a content creator. In 2019, I started playing Call of Duty because gaming gave me something to do from home. At the time, I was a single mom and a caregiver, so I wasn’t really able to just go out and socialize whenever I wanted. Gaming gave me a way to unwind, meet people, and have conversations outside of my everyday life.
Eventually, I started spending more time watching other people stream. What caught my attention wasn’t necessarily how good they were at the games. I liked the interaction. I liked watching someone play while also talking, joking around, and getting to know the people who kept coming back. A few friends encouraged me to put myself out there, so eventually I decided to try it myself.
My first streams were definitely nothing impressive. I was nervous, I had no idea what I was doing, and I wasn’t very good at video games. But I could talk. I liked meeting people and having somewhere I could log on and socialize. At that point, I didn’t even think of streaming as a hobby, and I definitely never expected to make money from it. It was just something to do and people to talk to.
That eventually grew into something much bigger than I ever expected.
In 2022, I challenged myself to stream every single day for 365 days. I wanted to learn what worked, what didn’t, and what kind of creator I wanted to be. In 2025, I completed another 365-day streak, but that one was more personal. I wanted to prove to myself that I could show up consistently even when the viewers weren’t there, the money wasn’t there, or I simply didn’t feel like going live that day.
Streaming has also changed my life outside of the internet. I’ve made friendships with people from all over the world, including people who have been around since my earliest years of streaming. I also met my partner, Randy, through gaming. He was living in Seattle, and eventually he relocated to St. Cloud to build a life with me.
It is still crazy to me that something I started so casually from my home introduced me to some of the most important people in my life.
When I look back at where I started in 2019 compared to where I am now, I’m proud that I kept going long enough to see what it could become. What started as something to do at home turned into friendships, opportunities, a community, and something I genuinely want to continue building into a career.
Five years from now, I would love to be able to say that I turned something I love into something that helps support my family from home while allowing me to continue doing what I enjoy every day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has simply been realizing how much there is to learn. I’ve had to teach myself how to stream from a console and PC, troubleshoot technology, create graphics and thumbnails, use social media, build a brand, manage a Discord server, market myself, and figure things out as platforms and games constantly change.
There is also a lot of trial and error. Something you spend hours working on might not perform well, some streams are busier than others, and growth is never guaranteed. I’ve had to learn how to keep going without allowing numbers to determine whether I feel like I’m doing a good job.
I’ve also had people in my life who didn’t really understand what I was doing or thought streaming was silly. Over time, I stopped feeling like I needed everyone else to understand it. I know how much work I put into it and what it has become for me.
Another big lesson has been learning boundaries. Being online means people have access to you in ways they normally wouldn’t, so I’ve had to learn what parts of myself I’m comfortable sharing, when I need to step away, and what I will and won’t accept from people in my space.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a gaming content creator and livestreamer. I’m known for playing games like Call of Duty, Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends, and other multiplayer and competitive games.
My content is very personality and interaction based. I love talking while I play, joking around, playing with viewers, and making people feel involved in what is happening rather than just watching me play a game.
I’m definitely not someone who built my platform around pretending to be the best gamer in the room. Part of the fun is that I can take the game seriously while still laughing at myself when something goes completely wrong.
In 2024, I also started a separate YouTube channel where I share more of my life outside of gaming. People from my social media community wanted to get to know the “mom” side of me too, so I started sharing family adventures, things we do for fun, and little pieces of our everyday life. It has been really fun getting to show another side of who I am beyond gaming.
There is also a lot that goes into content creation behind the scenes, from deciding what I’m going to play and how I want to present it to creating titles and thumbnails, planning streams, using social media, and figuring out what my audience enjoys.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve been able to take something that started with me sitting at home playing video games and actually turn it into something of my own. I’ve built friendships, created my own style of content, and made a place that I genuinely look forward to showing up to.
I think what sets me apart is that I’m naturally very nurturing and motherly. I care about who I’m talking to. I remember things people tell me, I ask how things turned out, I celebrate things with them, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know the person behind the username. I think people can tell when that is real.
What matters most to you? Why?
Family is at the center of what matters most to me. My goal is to build something I love that allows me to be present at home and eventually support my family through content creation.
Kindness is also a huge part of who I am. I always say, “Treat others with kindness because you never know what they have going on at home.” If I can make someone laugh, feel heard, or make their day a little better, that matters to me.
Success to me is more than numbers. I want to grow, build a career I’m proud of, take care of my family, and enjoy the life I’m creating along the way.
