Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheff P.
Hi Cheff, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well I’m multi-talented , born and raised in Minneapolis MN. I’ve been producing for about 20 years, Ive been making music for 10 years. I’m also a mechanic going on 10 years now. Got a car collection started. I’m an outstanding father raising a son with wonderful talents himself.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a bumpy road. With limited finances, it was challenging to have the right equipment to produce or physically work which drove me to work with what I had until I was able to get everything I needed to progress. Also with a lot of other competition , it was challenging to stand out but I always found a way to be heard .
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As of right now I’m a fleet mechanic for the city of mpls. I’m proud of myself because this is the mechanics dream job. Well for most it’s an opportunity to actually start your life goals because most mechanic jobs don’t pay as good. I specialize in diesel vehicles, city vehicles and specialty vehicles. Outside of work I’m known to be the guy to call if you need some help with anything
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Whether you’re producing or wrenching, do it for tho heart not the money.
