Hi Jeanne, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey on social media started pretty naturally. I began posting about my everyday life, especially my dog Bella, and I never expected it to become what it is today. My account started gaining traction, and before I knew it, my audience was growing rapidly and my content was reaching people far beyond my own circle.
As my platform grew, I started creating more content around my lifestyle, fashion, fitness, and the things I genuinely enjoy. What started as simply sharing my life eventually turned into opportunities to work with brands, create content professionally, and build a community of people who follow along with my journey. Reaching over 100,000 followers has been incredibly rewarding, especially because it all started with something as simple as sharing Bella and my everyday life.
Alongside growing my social media presence, I’ve continued to prioritize my education. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, went on to complete my Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Technology, and I’m now pursuing my PhD in Educational Studies. Balancing academics with content creation has definitely been a challenge, but it has also shown me that I don’t have to choose just one path.
Today, social media has become a huge part of my life and career. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities it has given me and for the community I’ve built. I’m still learning and growing every day, and I’m excited to see where both my social media journey and academic career take me next.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the social media and influencer industry while trying to stay true to myself. As my platform has grown, I’ve been contacted by talent agencies and managers who have wanted to represent me, but I’ve chosen to remain independent because being authentic to myself and my audience is really important to me.
Instead of having someone else manage my partnerships, I personally pitch myself to brands, negotiate collaborations, and handle my own brand deals. It can take a lot of time and effort, especially while balancing my education and other responsibilities, but I’m proud that I’ve built these opportunities on my own.
There have definitely been moments of uncertainty, rejection, and having to put myself out there repeatedly without knowing whether a brand will say yes. However, those experiences have taught me persistence and confidence. I’ve learned that I don’t need to follow the traditional path to be successful—I can build something that feels authentic to me and grow it on my own terms.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work is centered around social media content creation, with a focus on lifestyle, fashion, fitness, and sharing my everyday life with my audience. I’ve built my platform by being very authentic and allowing people to follow along with the real person behind the content. I think that authenticity is a huge part of why people connect with me.
I’m also very involved in the business side of being a creator. I personally pitch to brands, build relationships, negotiate collaborations, create the content, and manage my own brand partnerships. I’ve worked hard to turn my social media presence into a business while still making sure that the content I create feels natural and genuine rather than overly promotional.
One of the things I’m most proud of is reaching over 100,000 followers and knowing that I built that community organically through my own content. What makes that especially meaningful to me is remembering that my account originally grew from something as simple as posting about my dog, Bella. I never set out with the expectation that it would become a career.
I’m also proud that I’ve been able to grow my social media career while continuing my education. I have completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and am now pursuing my PhD. Balancing academics with being a full-time content creator has taught me a lot about discipline, time management, and perseverance.
I think what sets me apart is that I haven’t followed a traditional influencer path. I’ve chosen to remain independent, manage my own opportunities, and stay true to my personality and values. I want my audience to feel like they’re following a real person, not just a creator advertising products. That connection and authenticity are what I value most about the community I’ve built.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that might surprise people is how active I am outside of social media. Fitness and running have become a really important part of my life. I regularly work out and run races, including 5K and 10K races, and I’m currently training for my first half marathon.
Running has become more than just exercise for me. I love setting goals, challenging myself, and seeing how far I can push myself. There’s something really rewarding about starting a training plan, putting in the work, and eventually seeing that hard work pay off on race day.
I think people who know me primarily through social media might not realize how much discipline goes into my fitness journey. It’s something I’ve really grown to enjoy, and it has taught me a lot about consistency, perseverance, and pushing through the days when things don’t feel easy.
